Home/College Football

Now when does college football run out of plot twists? Never, right? After a tumultuous 2024 season for most of the programs, it is all set to drop the curtains. So, it’s time for another big event. The 2025 NFL Draft. How the 2024 season has gone thus far, fans already have a notion about the star players who are going to land as the top picks. The first in line is Colorado Buffaloes QB and Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders. If you think that’s still going to happen, let me pop your bubble!

There is a slight change in the plan. The Buffs quarterback no longer enjoys the limelight. As per speculation, he is going to be replaced by the Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart. And it looks like the CU Buffs loyalist Warren Sapp has no problem with that happening. Sadly, this story does not fit well with Shedeur’s big brother.

Is Shedeur Sanders losing his spotlight?

Already it’s going to be tough for the Colorado fans. After all, they will soon part ways with their iconic trio- Shedeur, Shilo Sanders, and dual-threat Travis Hunter. Just when they have thought that seeing their favorite QB be the top in the 2025 NFL Draft would at least apply some balm to their wounds, sadly, luck is not going to take their side. Time for a reality check. Dart will be giving tough times to both Shedeur and Cam Ward who till now were hailed as the best. And guess who liked the post?

That’s none other than the Buffs grad assistant, Warren Sapp. Now this is surprising. After all, Sapp has stood beside the Buffs QB like a rock. On January 12, NFL Rookie Watch was posted on IG. The caption read, “Jaxson Dart is reportedly “ranked ahead” of Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward on some NFL scouts’ boards.” Now, things are likely to turn his way. After all, Lane Kiffin’s phenom carries with him an impressive resume. In his senior, he posted almost 4,300 passing yards, 500 rushing yards, and 32 total TD’s. So, what’s the theory behind Dart replacing Shedeur, snatching away his title of being the “best?”

The post mentioned, “Some NFL scouts reportedly believe Dart could make a “Jayden Daniels type rise” by the time the draft rolls around.” The former LSU Tigers phenom and the Heisman Winner lifted Washington Commanders to its first playoff victory in 19 years. Now can Dart be like Daniels? Well, we are yet to figure that out. What we know is the fact that Shedeur’s brother Deion Sanders Jr. is not at all okay with the fact that his brother will now be in the backseat even after giving his blood, sweat, and tears to the Buffs this season.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jaxson Dart really the better choice over Shedeur Sanders, or is this just media hype?

Have an interesting take?

The Well Off Media tycoon got infuriated and reposted the NFL Rookie Watch post in his IG story two days ago. Sadly, the story is no longer available. Does that mean Jr. is already envisioning a future for his father and his brothers, landing with the $10.1 billion NFL giant?

The perfect plan for the Sanders trio is cooking up

Just as Dart beating Shedeur in the NFL race has now been a hot topic, the Buffs HC also trending on social media. The Mike McCarthy era is over in the Dallas Cowboys. So, now their GM Jerry Jones has been looking for the perfect person for their HC role. And now, as we all know, even though Coach Prime is often plagued by controversy, the word ‘perfect’ gels with him well. Maybe Jones too feels so.

As reported by FOX Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, “Sources: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has spoken with Colorado HC Deion Sanders about the team’s head coaching vacancy.” Now, as we all can guess, it’s going to be difficult for the Buffs HC to be there in Boulder without his sons, Shedeur and Shilo around. So, in a recent interview, he had already made clear one condition on which he might consider a swap from college to the NFL. “The only I would consider, is to coach my sons…SONS,” Coach Prime sounded all confident.

The Cowboys have the 12th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. On the other hand, Shedeur coming off as the top pick, the narrative is not fitting together, right? In that case, Dallas could package their QB Dak Prescott with the 12th overall pick to trade up into the top three. And what about Shilo? Well, the Cowboys could land him in the second or third round, as there won’t be much competition. Now that Jaxson Dart is emerging to the top, will that rain on the Dallas Cowboys’ plan of the Perfect 3?
