Did the hip-drop tackle rob Omarion Miller of a legendary season with the Buffs?

Omarion Miller kept the dream alive when nothing seemed possible. During the Kansas State showdown, Deion Sanders lost some of his best guys. Both Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr were out, and the boys were getting pushed to the edge. Enter Omarion Miller. The moment he hit the turf, he was explosive. Bringing in 145 yards and 8 receptions under his belt, he gave Shedeur Sanders the momentum required. But tragedy struck again when Miller was out with a season-ending lower leg injury.

Fear not though, cause when Miller comes back on that turf, he is gonna make it count. Back on his Instagram story, Miller mentioned; “Comeback gone be crazy, I swear.” Yeah, we know. Miller cape the Buffs in the game during a moment where everyone thought that Deion Sanders and Co. were done for. While the Buffs did lose to Kansas State, the team still managed to last quite long despite being handicapped.

Miller’s injury could’ve been avoided, though. The entire thing happened because of a hip-drop tackle. These tackles have had a history in the NFL, which is so bad that it was banned in 2024 to stop players from getting hit with lower body injuries. We cannot wait to see what this guy does for Coach Prime and Co. after he has recovered from his injury.

However, there is another thing that the KS game proved; Shedeur Sanders is an elite QB. Even if you take away the Sanders title from him, you cannot sit there and say that he didn’t perform exceptionally well against the Wildcats. Getting 3 touchdowns and over 380 yards in that game with an almost useless offensive line and without the top WRs to back him up.

This wasn’t an easy task, but Shedeur pulled through, and it set up one of the best games on Colorado’s schedule till now in pure perfection. Yes, I’m talking about the Arizona Wildcats. Coming off of the Kansas loss, Deion Sanders’ offense depth looked bad. While Hunter and Horn were back on the turf, they barely had enough time to recover from their injuries. But fear not, cause Coach Prime still managed to make history.

Have an interesting take?

Deion Sanders is on a roll!!

5-2. That is where Coach Prime and Co. stand right now. And you know the best part? This is the first time Colorado has been on such a wild run since 2018. 6 damn years and it took a madman with amazing taste in fashion to turn things around. No matter how much we praise the offense and defense of that showdown, it doesn’t feel enough.

Everything about that game was on point. The Wildcats were only allowed to hit 107 rush yards on the board and just a single touchdown in the first quarter. Will Sheppard, Drelon Miller, and Alejandro Mata were all on fire, and Arizona barely had any room to make plays. And how could we forget Shedeur Sanders? While this dude managed to drop the balls a couple of times (he is allergic to winning an easy, WE SWEAR); he did manage to end with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions under his belt.

This game has managed to redeem the reputation of the team and pushed Colorado to the 4th spot in the Big 12. Let’s see what Coach Prime and Co. manage to get done when they hit the turf against the No.6 team; Cincinnati Bearcats.
