Praises from legends are always wholesome, but when it’s from your uncle and legend Peyton Manning, you’ve got to be on Cloud 9. Same goes for this Texas Longhorns backup QB. On the Pat McAfee Show, Peyton could not help but shower nephew Arch Manning with praise. While nobody denies that it’s a privilege to be a part of the Manning legacy, it comes with a lot of pressure. Wonder how you would feel if you get bombed by long lectures for simple stuff? That’s what Arch’s story is all about! However, these issues are a pebble next to the mountain of praise Uncle Peyton just dropped!

Peyton’s interview is all about Arch. And if you think that it’s all about favoritism, it’s not the case. Steve Sarkisian’s backup QB deserves all the praise. During their face-off against the Colorado State Rams, even being the backup QB for Quinn Ewers, he played his part well in running 5-for-6 for 95 yards and came up with a touchdown pass. Besides, Arch took control of the offense on third-and-goal from the 5-yard line and helped with a snap. But the Denver Broncos legend accepts how it gets tough sometimes for the young man, “I think sometimes he regrets it you know he might ask me a question about a two-minute drill and I’ll leave him uh three 12-minute voice memos.”

But so what? Uncle Peyton will keep on rooting for him. The 2x Super Bowl champion dropped a heartfelt statement, “I’m proud of Arch, I’m proud of him.” It’s because the QB refused to follow the crowd and be a part of the race. Instead, he refrained from clicking the SWITCH button and focused on his self-growth by staying in Sarkisian’s hood

The 19-year-old is beaming with so much talent, that it was enough for Peyton to drop a bold claim. As per the five-time NFL MVP, “My dad’s speed and athletic ability kind of skipped the generation and went to him. It did not come to me and Eli.” While fans might be angry about Manning sitting on the bench as the backup, another NFL bigshot poured in his take.

Arch Manning’s bold move earns kudos from NFL Legend

While the hype surrounding Sarkisian’s squad is all about QB Quinn Ewers, Arch too now enjoys the limelight for the brave decision he had taken. So much so, that Super Bowl-winning QB Drew Brees too sang in the latest member of the Manning legacy’s praise. “I think the best thing for Arch Manning is to stay right where he is,” is what the former New Orleans Saints QB believes.

And the backup QB’s talents are enough for Brees to pin high hopes on Arch about the future, “Yours is the guy, yours is going to have a great season they’re going to be National Championship contenders this year and then Arch Manning is going to get his opportunity as a third year player.”
