Travis Hunter at No.1—Is he the next NFL superstar we've all been waiting for?

And here we are, yet again. Back on October 4th, Rick Spielman made an interesting statement which a lot of CFB fans would agree with. “I’m sticking with Travis Hunter,” Spielman had noted when talking about who his top 2025 NFL draft pick would be. What Travis Hunter has managed to achieve while playing 2 roles is something not a lot of players can get done. Hunter has been exceptional with his plays and he could be the next big thing in the NFL as well.

So, naturally, CBS Sports took to their Instagram account to share Ryan Wilson’s mock draft list and behold our 2-way star on top. Wilson’s draft list features Travis Hunter in the No.1 spot. However, what is more surprising to see is that Shedeur Sanders was put in the No.10 spot. See, we ain’t tryna compare Hunter with Shedeur.

Hunter has done a heck lot more than Shedeur has this year. Look at the Rams game. Travis Hunter broke a 26-year-old record. This guy brought in 2 touchdowns and if that wasn’t enough, on the defense, he got a solid interception (caught a pass from Rams QB and returned the football 38 yards).

Follow this with the Baylor game where Hunter managed to secure the win with the fumble during overtime. However, all of this does not mean that Shedeur was less. If we switch to the Baylor game itself; it was because of Shedeur that the team even managed to crack into overtime.

Shedeur Sanders, locked in, launched a Hail Mary to LaJohntay Wester with only 3 seconds left on the clock. Wester, being the god he is, managed to catch it and turn it into a touchdown, helping the Buffs run into overtime. However, to have your head straight while the pocket is collapsing and making a last-moment decision like that takes a lot of skill and Shedeur has that.

The good thing regarding this entire list is the fact that at least Shedeur is being put on the No.10 spot. If we go and ask, most CFB fans would say that this guy doesn’t even deserve to be in the top 10 (which is kind of weird to say). Now that we are already talking about the drafts, why not talk about the teams these 2 can find themselves in?

A new home for the star players

See, where Hunter would end up after the CFB journey ends is still very uncertain. People have regarded him as a good catch for the Seahawks or the Raiders. However, Hunter wanting to continue his 2-way capabilities would mean that he would need a team that is versatile enough to handle it. While many have noted that Hunter would have a hard time continuing to play both WR and CB, the guy himself is confident enough regarding his capabilities.

Now coming to Shedeur. This guy has the IT factor. 2 major teams probably want Shedeur right now. While Deion Sanders continues his “Shedeur in Dolphins” campaign, the Raiders and the Cowboys are 2 teams where Shedeur could fit the best. The Cowboys right now need a proper quarterback. With owner Jerry Jones going through his QB woes, Shedeur seems like the best answer.

The Raiders, on the other hand, well, there’s a much deeper connection here. Coach Prime himself had noted that Shedeur would love to play for HC Antonio Pierce. Also, during the Aces vs Liberty game, Raiders owner Mark Davis told Shedeur, “Who knows, you might be home right now.” This sparked a whole slew of rumors and many fans suggested that Shedeur would work out perfectly with Pierce and the roster. Do let us know who you think should take Hunter and Shedeur?
