Yeah, we get it. It was rivalry week and Texas Longhorns managed to grab that massive win over the Aggies, but this isn’t how you celebrate. There was a long debate about the entire run the Texas Longhorns have had this year. It’s kind of funny that even Nick Saban called out Steve Sarkisian and his boys for not playing any good team all season. Which is true. The only team with a pulse the Longhorns had on their schedule was Georgia. And what happens? They lose by 15 points. So, the Aggies were the proving ground for the Texas Longhorns, and, well; they got their 17-7 win. But boy oh boy, no one had thought that on the sidelines, a simple football rivalry would get this ugly.

Back on X, Rusty Surette pointed out some very important about a Texan resident and the acts he was up to during rivalry week. “Colton Smith of Orange Texas was arrested Saturday night at Kyle Field on multiple charges, including assault on a public servant, public intoxication, and harassment of a public servant,” Rusty mentioned in his post. This 21-year-old student thought it would be a great idea to pour beer over the head of a Texas A&M University police officer.

Charges of public intoxication, harassment, and assault are already bad enough, but to commit all of this on an actual police officer is just plain dumb behavior. You thought this was bad? Well, the Longhorns and Aggies staff members almost started a fight as well.

Moments before the players hit the turf, it was reported that the Longhorns and Aggies staff had to be physically separated from each other. There were some verbal fights with a lot of yelling involved. Surely, this would’ve almost escalated into a full-blown fight if things were allowed to continue without intervention.

This rivalry has hit the screens after a decade, so the adrenaline rush is understandable, but fights and getting charged are not the way to go. The worst part about all of this is that this ain’t even the only bad incident that happened this weekend.

What’s your perspective on:

Did the Longhorns really prove anything by beating the Aggies, or was it just luck?

Michigan Wolverines flag-planting scenario

OSU vs the Wolverines. The Buckeyes were on a losing streak against Michigan, and fans were getting impatient. See, Ryan Day and Co. were on a 10-1 run this year and everyone had thought that the Wolverines game would just be another day at OSU.

Yeah, no. Somehow Buckeyes managed to lose AGAIN to a washed-up Michigan team that doesn’t even have a proper quarterback (Wolverines rely on a walk QB Davis Warren). Adding insult to injury is the fact that Day and Co. lost on their home turf.

And so things were bound to get a bit dirty. Wolverines player Derrick Moore thought it would be an amazing idea to plant the Michigan flag on the OSU home turf. Turns out, it wasn’t a good idea.

A full-fledged brawl broke out on the turf and even the police had to get involved to separate the staff and the players. Now will the Big 10 issue any suspension or penalty for this action? We still don’t know yet. But was this ethically right? No, it wasn’t. Don’t do dumb things that could endanger you or the surrounding people.
