“Playing for clicks” huh? Then explain the 5-2 run. Deion Sanders has done something that probably no one out there had thought was possible. With 5 massive wins, the Buffs have a pretty good shot at getting to the playoffs. Even if they don’t and even if Coach Prime and Co. end the season with at least 7-8 wins, it will be more than enough. But before that happens, Deion Sanders and Co. still have a lot of games to run through and maybe they will succeed cause they have a really good well-wisher rooting out for them.
Back on Cam’ron Silmon Craig‘s Instagram, he shared an adorable note from a Colorado well-wisher. “I believe in you and CU will win it all,” Carter Terveen had written on his note. Craig was all on board with the idea. “Got something coming your way my boy,” Craig mentioned in his story. The best part is that Buffs can actually end up doing it. See, we all know that Deion Sanders and his offensive line have been a struggle since last year.
However, there is some hope. Against Arizona, the Buffs probably put up their 2nd best performance of the season. Covering 250 passing yards and 148 rushing yards, Shedeur Sanders and Co. managed to snag a 34-7 win. The O-line surprisingly performed spot-on.

Providing Shedeur enough protection and covering him from the tackles. QB managed to lock in 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions during that game and the fever didn’t stop. The D-line managed to give the offense more than enough turnovers to change the route of the game.

The Wildcats were barely allowed to cross 110 rush yards and were locked in at 245 total yards during the game. We saw the same happen against the Knights as well. Robert Livingstone, as the new defensive coordinator, has managed to give the defense a new hope. The Buffs now stand next to the best on the list in terms of allowing points. Now what’s left is finding out if after the massive win against the Wildcats; can Coach Prime and Co. maintain the same momentum against the Bearcats?
Another hurdle for Deion Sanders?
The Bearcats game marks the 8th game for Deion Sanders and it could end up being a challenge. The team is also on a 5-2 run and they will do anything to snag this one. Keep in mind if Coach Prime wins this one, then it is for sure that the Buffs have what it takes to make it to the Big 12 championship game. The factor that the Buffs have to look out for is the offense. Last year, the Bearcats ranked at the bottom of the list for Big 12.

What’s your perspective on:
Can Deion Sanders' Buffs defy the odds and secure a spot in the Big 12 championship?
Have an interesting take?
This time? Well, the Indiana transfer Brendan Sorsby has given Cincinnati quite the boost. Covering 1900+ yards in 7 games along with 13 touchdowns and a QBR of 79, Sorsby is something Deion and Co. have to look out for. When compared to their 2023 counterpart, the Bearcats have managed to cover 6 points more on average in every single game.
While Livingstone and the D-line should be able to hold them back, Coach Prime and Co. should still go into this game with a clear head. After the win against UCF, we saw how badly the team suffered against Kansas State. So, yeah, anything can happen at any time. For now, we gotta wait and watch how the weekend game unfolds.
