Colorado’s win over Baylor was nothing short of surprises till the end. The heroic move by Shedeur Sanders‘ 43-yard Hail Mary pass to LaJohntay Wester during the last moments of the game saved Colorado from an embarrassing loss. And star of the game, Travis Hunter forced a fumble at the 1-yard line in overtime. Everything contributed to Colorado’s 38-31 victory over Baylor on a Saturday night. “Great, great, great, great, great win,” said Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. “These young men were resilient. They never gave up, never surrendered.”
Shedeur Sanders, along with Deion Sanders and Travis Hunter, appeared before the media to talk about the Colorado Buffaloes football post-game vs. Baylor. The CU Buffs won 38-31 after a splendid 43-yard touchdown pass for which Shedeur connected with LaJohntay Wester. When asked how he managed to do that, Shedeur replied by saying, “I trust the guy,” referring to LaJohntay Wester.

The Colorado vs. Baylor game kicked off with the Buffs, hitting with an early lead and scoring a touchdown during the first quarter of the game. However, after a while, Baylor responded by leading a back-and-forth fight throughout the game. By halftime, Baylor was ahead of the Buffs with a narrow lead. However, coming to the third quarter, Colorado fought back and kept the score tight.

Although Shedeur and Wester’s collab for a touchdown pass will be the memorable event in the game, besides that, Colorado secured the opportunity with Travis Hunter’s forced fumble. After Colorado managed first in overtime, Hunter turned the game around by stripping the pigskin away from Baylor’s running back, Dominic Richardson.

This forced fumble not only showcased Hunter’s offensive skills but also highlighted his exceptional abilities both as a receiver and defender. With that, he is getting honored as the first FBS player to achieve 100 receiving yards and force a fumble in the last 20 seasons of college football in the same game.
His dual-threat ability to switch from offense to defense was worth a watch in this intriguing matchup. With that, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders’ odds to contend for the Heisman increased overnight.
