Texas Longhorns is lucky to have so many star players, as we all witnessed during last Saturday’s game against UTSA. It’s not a new thing for head coach Steve Sarkisian to praise quarterback Arch Manning, but when he talked about his speed, no one took it and unlit his last game record. “I think he hit 20 miles an hour. I was pretty impressive.” Sarkisian told this before the 2023 regular season. Manning showcased his light-footed skill set while running for a touchdown.
Texas Longhorns Saturday’s game has created many headlines but Arch Manning was the major highlight of it. Once again, he has grabbed the attention of netizens, this time for his speed, getting compared to an NFL legend. A series of Mannings pictures shared by rivals dotcom from their official Instagram page stated that Arch Manning has overtaken Tyreek Hill while doing a 67-yard touchdown run. By doing a 67-yard touchdown run, he reached a speed of 20.7 mph. However, the internet went crazy for this one and the comment section of this post became a battlefield for his fans and haters.
Most of the time, he got trolled by people who didn’t think this comparison was valid. One user commented, “They played UTSA boys. Be cool.” Well, what does that even mean—that UTSA is a lesser competition? Another user wrote, “Yall reaching lol” He specified that this comparison is irrelevant and seems funny and analysts are stretching it to make this theory look valid.

One more user commented, “I don’t even bet and would put 1000 on Hill gapping him by 10 yards,” followed by a laughing emoji. This person is so sure about Tyreek Hill’s speed that he would not even consider anyone near him. Added to that, an Instagram user wrote, “My God, y’all are making him unlikeable, just like Colorado.” By writing this, he hinted at the possibility that Colorado is getting hated because of their over-the-top social media presence and if people do this to Arch Manning, he might as well receive the same fate. Besides that, let’s find out what else the post mentioned.

The combination of the very first picture of the rival post with Manning’s picture and the text “Arch Manning is a problem” was made. Next up we have a picture that includes Manning’s picture along with a Texas that suggests Arch Manning reached 20.7 mph while doing a 67-yard touchdown. The next picture includes a collage of Manning and Tyreek Hill along with their recorded speed from the season, which is 20.7 mph for Manning and 20.3 mph for Hill.
What’s your perspective on:
Arch Manning hitting 20.7 mph—are we setting the bar too high comparing him to Tyreek Hill?
Have an interesting take?
Added to that, another picture of this post suggests that if Manning had been in the NFL, he would have ranked sixth-fastest among all the NFL players in week one. That’s huge man! The next image pointed out that in 2024 only 10 NFL players ran faster than Manning. Lastly, the revelation pointed out that Manning’s touchdown run surpassed the length of any other run in the program since Texas’s former player Vince Young’s TD run in 2005. If we think beyond the trolls, Manning can go a long way, probably faster than his fellow mates.
