Remember Vanellope in Wreck it Ralph? The Glitch who can glitch her way through every obstacle in her way to get to where she wants to be? The EA Sports CFB 25 game has found its own glitch in the system — Travis Hunter!

Before he officially earned that title, Hunter himself told ESPN, “Pretty often, people say I can’t be real, and it’s amazing what I do.” He got the opportunity to prove that he’s an unbelievable, unreal being, if not human, on Thursday night’s game. And of all people, ESPN’s commentator Roddy Jones was there to give Travis Hunter the perfect label! 

EA Sports College Football threw its spotlight on the Buffs’ two-way star on Instagram on August 31. Uploading two posts about him, it captioned, “[Travis Hunter] is in Heisman Mode 🏆.” The second post featured Roddy Jones’ comments after Hunter’s spectacular last touchdown — “That’s unbelievable. That’s a glitch in EA Sports College Football 25.” And that’s how the glitch narrative was born!

Travis Hunter earned himself a lot more fans after his performance at the NSDU opener. He made three touchdowns in stellar modes, but the last 3-yard TD made left everyone in awe as he caught the pigskin by his fingertips while being tackled by the Bisons CB. His unbelievable plays have not only raised his NFL draft stocks higher but put him high on fans’ expectations as a potential Heisman winner. Jones’s “glitch” description earned the approval of other big stars like JJ Watt, who endorsed the label. 

Travis Hunter’s stellar move shakes up big names

Several big names were present at Colorado’s opener against the FCS powerhouse like Terrell Owens and LeBron James, among others. When Watt heard Jones’s comment, he didn’t waste time and got to X to post, “‘That was a glitch on EA Sports.’ What a great way to describe that Travis Hunter catch. Incredible snag.” Other stars also showed their surprise at his incredible talent. 

Even NBA legend LeBron James couldn’t conceal his appreciation for Hunter as he emphasized in capital letters on X, “MAN TRAVIS HUNTER IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!! WOW.” College women’s basketball HC Dawn Staley also shared her respect writing, “Boy you are a baaaaadddddd man!!!” All in all, Travis Hunter and the Buffs gave these celebrities who took their time off to attend the first season game at Folsom Field a game to remember!
