You ever seen a move so obvious that it just feels too perfect? Like, it makes so much sense that you almost don’t believe it’ll actually happen? That’s where we are with Travis Hunter and the $7.3 billion franchise. The Colorado two-way superstar is about to hear his name called early in the 2025 NFL Draft, and if things shake out the way insiders predict, he could be heading straight to the $7.3 billion franchise amidst a $454k Buffs prodigy’s diabolical hot-take.

NFL Draft expert Daniel Jeremiah didn’t hold back when he broke it down on The Pat McAfee Show on March 7: “The interesting thing would be if Rogers gets done with the [New York] Giants… and you’re in a kind of all in right now, we need to win to survive, so to speak. To me, if you’re sitting there and Travis Hunter’s there, and you’re the Giants, and I’ve got a chance to have Aaron Rodgers and on, and I can go out on one side with the Malik Nabers and maybe off, you know, the first year, maybe we want, Travis Hunter to just focus more on offense. Man, that’s that changed that offense, real quick, and they become very interesting and very exciting. So that might pull the Giants out of the quarterback market.”

And he ain’t lying. Travis Hunter, the Heisman winner, put up video-game numbers at Colorado: 1,258 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns, plus four picks on defense. He’s not just a two-way player — he’s a game-breaker wherever he lines up. Now imagine Rodgers slinging that perfect spiral to Hunter and Malik Nabers, who just set a Giants rookie record with 109 catches, 1,204 yards, and seven TDs while catching passes from different quarterbacks each Sunday. Yeah, good luck stopping that.

Now, let’s add some spice to this: Aaron Rodgers — the future Hall of Famer, the four-time MVP, the guy who had the NY Jets upside down around his finger before his Achilles gave out. The word on the street: The Giants are plotting a blockbuster move for Rodgers and locking in Travis Hunter with the No. 3 overall pick. That means Hunter could be catching passes from one of the best to ever do it. And if that happens? Oh boy. The Giants’ offense is about to go from ‘eh’ to straight-up electrifying in a hurry.

Look, the Giants haven’t had a true superstar WR1 since Odell Beckham Jr. left. Now, they could have two. And if you’re the Giants, why waste time developing a rookie QB when you could drop Rodgers into the mix and let him cook with this squad? If New York pulls this off, MetLife Stadium might just explode next season.

Rodgers is fresh off a chaotic season with the Jets. He made his comeback from an Achilles injury and hit some personal milestones (like 60,000 passing yards and his 500th career touchdown). But ultimately, the team fell apart. The Jets finished 5-12, and Rodgers got the boot. Now, he’s officially a free agent, and the Giants are lurking. The fit makes sense. The Giants need a QB, Rodgers needs a real squad, and if you drop him into an offense with Hunter and Nabers? Man. New York could go from a bottom-tier team to an instant threat overnight. Rodgers might not be in his prime anymore, but he’s still got it. And with these weapons? His deep ball could be a problem for every defense in the league.

CU Buffs’ $454k prodigy’s bold claim

While Hunter is out here securing a top-three pick, Jimmy Horn Jr. is making sure people don’t forget his name either. The $454K NIL star straight-up challenged Hunter’s WR1 status at Colorado, and he did it with zero hesitation. On The Rich Eisen Show, Horn Jr. let it be known: “The best wide receiver on Colorado, even though we got great receivers, we got a Heisman candidate. So, man, I’m the best receiver, you know. It’s just the confidence in myself, like I know I’m really that on the field, so I’m the best receiver. Like, everybody else we got, we got great receivers. Like, it’s like every receiver we had could have been a wide receiver one wherever they went, you know. So we had a great receiver room, but I feel I’m the best receiver.” Talk about confidence. And to be fair, Horn’s got some numbers to back it up. Before an injury cut his season short, he posted 441 yards on 37 receptions. But let’s keep it a buck — his stats don’t come close to Hunter’s.

Does Horn Jr. Have a Case? Well… kinda? His NFL Combine performance definitely turned heads. A 4.46 40-yard dash, 38-inch vertical, and 1.54 10-yard split — not bad at all. ESPN’s Jordan Reid even gave him props: “Horn was one of the day’s biggest surprises… His acceleration and suddenness caught my eye.” But let’s be real — he’s still projected as a late 4th or 5th-round pick. Hunter, meanwhile? He’s a top-three LOCK.

But hey, Jimmy Horn Jr. ain’t backing down, and you gotta respect that. He’s got that chip on his shoulder, and if he proves himself at the next level, he might just make folks eat their words. For now, though, this is Hunter’s world, and everyone else is just living in it. If the Giants pull off this move—Rodgers at QB, Hunter at WR1, Nabers alongside him — New York’s offense could be straight-up box office. Hunter is too good to fall out of the top three, and his NFL fate might already be sealed. The only question now: Will the Giants make the right move?
