And just a few hours to go. The Buffs are locked in with their new roster and all the changes to their offense and defense and NDSU is ready to challenge Deion Sanders’ new O-line. However, the star of the show, Coach Prime’s 2-way phenom, Travis Hunter, will have a lot on his shoulders. While the kid is bigger than before and is more ready to face anything, nothing is written in stone, except his fiancee’s support for him.
That’s right folks, Leanaa Lenee took to her Instagram story to post a snap of her traveling for the Bisons vs Buffs match. “Game day,” Lenee wrote in her story. With her support, pretty sure Hunter will do everything in his power to hit it off big this year. Back in June, during an episode of the Pregame Show, Uncle Neely had noted, “He’s faster, leaner looking, but bigger looking.” During the fall camp and all the training sessions, Hunter’s overall presence has been off the charts. With this new change, he can easily lead the Buffs to a solid run. NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah noted, “21-year-old has an excellent feel for working in zones.” Hunter’s innate ability to quickly get out of breaks and make easy throws for the QB makes him a big threat on the field. This being combined with his recent weight gain and transformation makes him a beast.

Back during the opener in 2023, Hunter made his mark with around 11 catches and a solid run. Jeremiah had mentioned, “A star was born,” when he first saw Hunter’s performance in the first match the Buffs took. While the kid still needs some work on the defense, fans are pretty optimistic that Pat Shurmur will give him the edge. Now that Deion Sanders has multiple NFL players/coaches on the team, the boys have shown substantial improvements all around. A big change came when we got to know that no one was hurt after the intensive fall camp. Deion noted, “I made sure the offense, we didn’t show no signals.” Coach Prime’s main strategy was to tire out his entire offense and to see if they could retain information, even if they were exhausted. And it worked out perfectly. “I think they did a phenomenal job,” Deion had noted. However, while it is sure that Hunter will make us all proud as CU’s 2-way star. People should also keep an eye out for Shedeur Sanders.

9.8% sack rate. This is something that has haunted Shedeur after the 2023 season. Because of Buff’s leaky offense, the kid went on to become the most sacked QB during that season. However, now, he is better than before. Uncle Neely mentioned that Shedeur has seen a massive increase in his overall accuracy and performance. We saw a glimpse of this during the fall camp when Shedeur managed to lock in a 55-yard throw to Jimmy Horn Jr.
Aaron Torres had explained it perfectly back on August 2nd. “People are going to be surprised,” Torres had noted while talking about Shedeur and the Buffs. If we even check last year, the kid locked in over 24 TDs and over 3200 yards under his belt. These stats alone make him a solid athlete. With all the efforts Deion had put into the team, it is for sure that Shedeur will show big changes as he takes up the turf against the Bisons.
