College football fans, buckle up Travis Hunter‘s Whirlwind season just added another twist. The Colorado Buffaloes two-way star and the most hyped-up Heisman finalist, fresh off a career-defining performance in the Buffs’ 52-0 crushing win against Oklahoma State, is raising eyebrows for all the wrong reasons. Hunter’s stats were pure Heisman energy: 10 catches, 166 yards, and three touchdowns, plus his signature highlight reel moments that had his fans buzzing. But as much as Hunter dazzled on the field, it’s off-the-field buzz that has everyone going full TMZ.

The drama? A sensational sideline clip that’s sparked rumors of mentions with his fiancee Leanna Lenne. Social media detectives are trying hard to connect the dots between a confident sideline glance toward the cheerleaders after one of Hunter’s plays and the frosty vibes between him and Lenne after the game. Are fans making mountains out of molehills? Let’s learn it from the analysts.

On the latest episode of Joe Budden TV, broadcaster and rapper Budden, who’s famous for spilling the tea on the latest buzz while discussing it with Lamar “Ice” Burney, Antwan “Ish” Marby, Melyssa Ford, and Marc Lamont Hill.

During the game, when he made one of them sick ass plays he went out bounds toward one of the cheerleaders. So he gave a look the cheerleader cause he made a play and he was like okay, then he went back on the field. They are assuming that’s what the girlfriend’s reaction what that was over. That’s what they are assuming,” Budden said.

While Travis Hunter dominated against Oklahoma from route into a 40-yard touchdown to managing tough catches over double coverage, his performance was screaming a Heisman frontrunner. Moving forward, these analysts went ahead to the after-the-game incident when Hunter approached Lenne for a hug.

But at the end, like just so everybody knows, like he tried to give her lady a hug, and she gave him like the stiff body, like I don’t want you anywhere near me,” Marc Lamont Hill narrated the later part of the story. Hill had a contrarian view on the whole situation. While Budden, Ice and Ish were of the view that Lenne should have stayed home if she wasn’t in a good mood to support her partner, Hill tried to look at it from Lenne’s side. He asked the question: if Hunter had done something to upset Lenne, why would she pretend all was okay? Add to that the fact that the couple were not captured during the game when they knew they had cameras on them. It was a private moment after the game.

And guess what? Adding fuel to the fire, when Hunter posted a carousel of Instagram photos with Lenne captioned, “queen,” fans smelled the post was an attempt to ease the situation. Apart from that, while appearing on the Pivot podcast, Travis Hunter ended those rumors by saying, “It’s kind of hard sometimes, but she’s always there. There’s a lot of stuff people don’t see off the camera.” Moving forward, he even said that he “doesn’t care” what they say about him or his girlfriend.

Travis Hunter’s fiance put an end to the rumors

While the cheerleader rumors have taken over social media, they’re not the full version of the story. For Travis Hunter and Lenne, living a life under the constant glare of the spotlight isn’t new; it’s never a cakewalk. However, Lenee has been quite vocal about how these trolls can strain their relationship and reacted to it on Instagram, sharing her side of the story.

Please remember that social media is not real, and 5 seconds is not enough to understand a situation,” she wrote, subtly putting an end to the cheerleader speculation without addressing it head-on.

On the other hand, for Travis Hunter, the stakes couldn’t be higher. With NFL scouts eyeing a Heisman Trophy ceremony on the road, every play, every glance, and controversy is magnified.
