Leanna Lenee, the fiancée of Colorado Buffaloes’ star Travis Hunter, has been an ardent Green Bay Packers fan for years. But her enthusiasm was recently quashed when the Packers lost to the Denver Broncos in a preseason game. Leanna posted a story to her Instagram after the game with the caption “anyways go packers go.” She has expressed her loyalty to the team despite their failure.

The Packers, with arguably the most loyal fan bases in the NFL, collapsed to the Broncos and lost 19-17. However, this was a preseason game; the results do not count toward the regular season standings; however, the loss that the fans felt, including Leanna, was bitter. The game had some outstanding veteran players and some rookies who could still be testing themselves before the regular season begins for the Packers.

Packers’ struggles against a determined Broncos team

Under the leadership of head coach Sean Payton, the Broncos were determined to showcase their potential in this preseason matchup. Well-known for his offensive prowess, Payton got an opportunity to check his prospects and familiarize himself with the system. The Broncos, outstanding in defensive play, stood their ground and only allowed the Packers to score 17 points. This gave the Broncos a defensive win and a more-than-adequate offense, which led to the win in this very close game.

The game presented some weaknesses for the Packers, and they need to work on perfecting their play. That said, sometimes State Peninsula’s starting quarterback, Jordan Love, who replaced Aaron Rodgers, looked fantastic and sometimes like a youngster just starting his career. Due to several factors, the Packers’ offense was inefficient; there were several occasions when the team failed to advance the ball deep into the opponent’s territory. However, the coaching staff of the Packers were not discouraged; they believed that the game was helpful in preparations for regular season games.

As they look ahead to the regular season, the Packers and fans like Leanna will hopefully remain loyal supporters and patrons. For Leanna, this preseason loss is just a bump in the road, and her passion for the Packers remains as strong as ever. Whether standing for Hunter in the football game or being a fan supporting the Packers, Leanna Lenee remains passionate.
