Being hailed as the next Heisman winner doesn’t come easy. Travis Hunter is flying high right now. Ever since the Rams game, Hunter’s trajectory has been on a constant rise. This guy proved why he is worthy of going to New York by breaking a 26-year-old record while playing against the Rams (13 catches, 2 TDs, 1 interception, and 100 yards in a single game). Travis Hunter followed that up with a solid gaming-winning fumble against Baylor. However, all of that wouldn’t have been possible if he didn’t have his QB by his side.
JaKiTruth took to X on October 5th to share what Hunter had to say about playing alongside Shedeur Sanders. “It’s automatic with him. He’s always going to put the ball in the right spot,” Hunter mentioned in an interview with NBC Sports. You can throw as much shade as you want on Shedeur, but you cannot deny that most of the major plays that Hunter made were possible because Shedeur had proper accuracy and on-point decision-making skills.
🔥 Its Automatic. Travis explains what it’s like playing with #2
“It’s automatic with him. He’s always going to put the ball in the right spot. He is always working during the off-time. Playing with him brings out a lot in me, and wanting to be great. #skobuffs

To think that this guy was the same person who was marked as the most sacked QB is wild. Shedeur has shown an amazing presence in every single game. After the reality check, which the Huskers gave Deion Sanders and Co., the Buffs offensive line improved considerably.
Coach Prime and his 11 personnel layout have allowed Shedeur to be much more comfortable while playing from the pocket. Having that one TE by your side changes stuff. Against the Knights, we saw the pressure Shedeur managed to create with his plays. Doesn’t matter how many times people snub Shedeur to put Hunter on the pedestal, their entire connection on the field is something no one can take away.
However, as the NFL draft nears, Buffs fans would have to accept the fact that there is a possibility Shedeur and Hunter won’t land on the same team. Hunter is already being regarded as the No.1 overall pick and Shedeur still has a long way to go if he wants to beat QBs like Cam Ward or Carson Beck. Still, it’s sweet to see that Shedeur is slowly preparing himself for the separation.

Back on October 1st, Shedeur Sanders got real regarding the upcoming NFL draft. On the 2Legendary show on Youtube, Shedeur mentioned, “That’s why I’m blessed,” while talking about how he feels regarding his entire journey with Hunter and Co.
From Shedeur’s Hail Mary to push the Buffs to overtime to Hunter’s Heisman pose after hitting a solid interception against the Knights, Deion Sanders should be proud of the entire pairing he has managed to create in the Buffs.

Now, as the boys stand on Rank 2 in the Big 12, Deion Sanders has to be ready for the Wildcats game. This is going to be the final test for Coach Prime, Shedeur, and Hunter. If they manage to win against the same team that almost brought a powerhouse like the Bulldogs to their knees, then Deion Sanders can finally close his redemption chapter.
