Travis Hunter kicked off the season with a bang, leading his team to a big win over NDSU in the Week 1 opener. Now, the two-way star sure has plenty more wins in his sights, but he’s not feeling the pressure though. Instead, the uber-cool Colorado Buffaloes star is already talking NFL, even as his own college football season is still in the hotline. Hey, it’s all about the love of the game, right?

Today, the reigning champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, are gonna go head-to-head with the Baltimore Ravens. And like anyone else, Hunter is also pumped to see quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes go head-to-head. Well, who wouldn’t be? After all, they’re the two most fav MVPs in the league! But Hunter’s betting on Mahomes and the Chiefs to keep their winning streak alive.

On Wednesday, Hunter caught up with his friend Boog to chat about all things football. Of course, they couldn’t resist making some fun predictions. Hunter kicked things off by asking, “Will the Chiefs go back and win three-peat?” For any Mahomes fan, the answer is an easy yes! And Boog agrees, saying, “I don’t see nobody come and claim the throne. Pat looks like he’s gonna be Pat, and Andy Reid’s a bad man.”

Now, the Chiefs are comfortably sitting on their throne with 3 big wins, including two back-to-back rings under Mahomes. And Hunter is feeling a fourth one could be on the line, especially with Coach Reid’s solid roster. “They’ve got some receivers, too. They’ve got firepower. I didn’t think they’d win last year, but hey, they did,” Hunter added.

Although Hunter loves Patrick Mahomes, his heart really belongs to a different NFL team.

Travis Hunter’s love affair with the 49er

Travis Hunter’s heart is after all with the San Francisco 49ers. He thinks they’re the absolute best team in the entire NFL. And that’s what he told his Twitch fans right before the NFL Super Bowl. 

Last year, the 49ers were just minutes away from winning the Super Bowl, but they fell short against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the nail-biting finals. Well, even though it was a tough loss that disappointed a lot of fans, Hunter hasn’t changed his mind about the 49ers. He’s still a huge fan and loves them more than anything. Even this summer, while Hunter was on vacation in Hawaii he proved it! Travis Hunter was having fun banter on a zip line with his brother-in-law, Kaden. They started talking about the best NFL team, and, of course, Hunter said “49ers is the best team in America,” loud and clear, while on the zip line.

Kaden even joked that he wouldn’t let Hunter down from the zip line until he admitted the Green Bay Packers were better. But Hunter wasn’t going to back down. He jokingly said,  “I will hang here all day…never going to be a cheesehead fan.” Looks like someone has got their eyes all set ahead of the 2025 NFL draft!
