Is Travis Hunter the true star of Coach Prime's team, overshadowing even his own sons?

At this point, Deion Sanders should just adopt Travis Hunter. While you might think that Shedeur Sanders, Shilo Sanders, and Deion Sanders Jr. must be having the best banter with their father, it is Travis Hunter, who is always out there stealing the spotlight. Back in August, Hunter was bold enough to steal Coach Prime’s iconic hat and even mocked Deion Jr. when he pointed it out. “That means I’m the favorite, huh?” Hunter had mentioned. It has gotten to a point where Hunter gets jealous whenever Coach Prime shares any picture of his sons.

“Ok, one more strike,” Hunter had written under the comment section of one of Deion’s recent posts. The fun part is that Deion Sanders took Hunter’s lighthearted banter to heart and finally posted something about him. Back on his IG, Deion shared a picture of him and Hunter, and our boy was quick to react to it. “Yes I get my own post,” Hunter mentioned in the comment section. Yeah, well, after the warning you left for Coach Prime, no wonder he was bound to share something.

Something quite similar happened back on October 8th as well. Deion Sanders took to X to share a joke “comeback” photo with all of his sons. This was kind of a nod to LeBron James and Bronny James playing together on the same team. And Hunter? Well, he was feeling left out. Hunter sent a text to Coach Prime “why I’m not in this picture,” while sharing a snap of the photo from X.

Well, Deion had to do something about it, right? So, back on his Instagram, he quickly shared an edited picture of Hunter, Shedeur, Shilo, and him. See, no matter how much hate you give Coach Prime and Co. for being so vocal and open on social media, you still have to admit that they have made CFB 10x more entertaining to watch.

And with the 2024 season, Deion has even managed to turn a new page in the Colorado Buffs history book. The last time the Buffs even had a good season was back in 2017. It took one man to change history and bring the team to a 5 win run after 6 long years. And behind it all has to be the fact that Shedeur, Hunter, and others are unrecognizable in terms of skill and presence.

Baylor, Rams, and Knights. 3 games and 3 masterful showcases of depth and skill on that turf. Shedeur and Hunter were on point during all of these 3 games. Hunter managed to hit a record against the Rams by bagging 13 catches, 2 touchdowns, 100 yards, and 1 defensive interception. The play he made on Rocky Mountain Showdown even earned him the Defensive Player of the Week title.

And for Shedeur? You gotta give up the ‘trash quarterback’ allegations. When Coach Prime almost lost everything against Kansas State because of Hunter, Jimmy Horn Jr., and several other WRs getting injured, Shedeur kept the team in the game. With a collapsing O-line, Shedeur still managed to rack in 3 touchdowns and 388 yards. While the Buffs did lose the game, Shedeur solidified the fact that he can do anything even without help from Hunter.
