Travis Hunter is such a cheat code, man. The last few days for Deion Sanders and his boys were rough. The Huskers game managed to break the entire morale of the team. The offensive line was pure garbage and Shedeur Sanders was sacked 5 times in that one game alone. Not even Travis Hunter could save the day. However, there is always a silver lining. Maybe Deion, Hunter, and Shedeur needed the jab. Maybe Nebraska defeating the Buffs was required for them to understand that they can do so much better. Cause against the Rams, folks, the Buffs performed, and in the center of it all was one guy; Travis Hunter.

And maybe you could give Hunter’s fiancee the credit for being there during the game to boost her man’s confidence. “Winners win,” Leanna Lenne took to her Instagram to post some snaps of her in a Colorado jersey and denim shorts and Hunter was quick to comment with some Shakespeare-level romantic writing under the post. “My stinky b–ty,” Hunter wrote.

The couple and their romance are strong enough to steal the spotlight away from the Buffs vs Rams game. However, we still gotta talk about it because the Rams game showed us yet again what Coach Prime’s team is really capable of. While we did note that during the Huskers game, Deion’s O-line and defense failed miserably in cornering QB Dylan Raiola or stopping RB Dante Dowdell. However, this time around, they pushed all the right buttons. Shedeur was protected, and that allowed him to grab 4 TDs during the game and 310 yards under his belt.

This is why Matt McChesney advised that Shedeur and Hunter need to be backed up on the field. If these 2 guys don’t have to do everything to win, they can do anything on that turf. And for Hunter, lady luck was on his side. As his fiancee cheered for him from the sidelines, Hunter managed to lock in 2 TDs. But that ain’t the most amazing part. The way Hunter managed to intercept and pick off Rams QB, Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, was beautiful. This ain’t CFB anymore, this is straight-up art. The most ironic part is, Fowler had earlier called Hunter “too small”. Poetic justice, we call it.

This is the Buffs everyone wants to see, and it looks like the team has finally gained the momentum it needed. Starting week 2 with a blast, Coach Prime and his team are walking on the right path.

The future looks bright for Travis Hunter and the Buffs

While some might call this wishful thinking, the way the offense handled the Rams and managed to lock out their QB and the way the defense handled the rushes and plays despite losing out on their safety (Shilo Sanders) goes to show that they can very well end up having a winning streak. As we noted before, the Huskers game could be the final reality check with Coach Prime and his boys needed. Now all they gotta do is keep up this same momentum.

The Buffs are gonna go against the Baylor Bears soon and from what we saw before, this should be easy. The Bears do have a strong defense, but we also saw how easily Travis Hunter managed to slip past the Rams, so it shouldn’t be much of a problem. Regardless, we have seen the Buffs flip the script multiple times before, and not always in a good way. So, let’s keep our hopes up but also let’s not give them a free pass.
