Michigan’s hunt for elite WRs continues. Bagging the nation’s top prospect only meant more work for Sherrone Moore. After all, this isn’t a one man’s game! The quest to find the right receiver to complement Bryce Underwood has already brought them former Indiana WR Donovan McCulley. But there’s a need for more and Michigan has become one of the biggest players seeking receivers in the transfer portal. So when a gem like the App State WR entered the portal, they’re the first to jump in with an offer.

As Michigan Sports Talk reported on January 5, Sherrone Moore is targeting another transfer receiver in the portal – Kaedin Robinson. According to the report, “A new receiver Michigan recently just offered in the transfer portal is the App State transfer wide receiver Kaedin Robinson. He was a senior this past season, a 6’2, 205-pound WR and Michigan recently offered him. They’re also trying to get a visit in the works as well.”

Kaedin Robinson’s productive stats made him a key target to complement Bryce Underwood in Ann Arbor. This season, he’s a first-year All-Sun Belt compiling 840 yards and 2 touchdowns on 53 receptions. In 2023, Robinson fell just 95 yards short of reaching the 1,000-yard season milestone. His career stats include 2,194 receiving yards and 15 TDs. So, signing a prodigy like him would be very beneficial for Michigan.

But the Wolverines have strong competition. Robinson already has several offers from other programs as well including USC. The Trojans’ need for a WR stemmed from their key players – Duce Robinson, Kyron Hudson, and Zachariah Branch – entering the transfer portal after finishing the season 7-6. Ja’Kobi Lane and Makai Lemon are set to return but it’ll take more than these two players to get things running for the Trojans. So, Lincoln Riley is going to leave no stone unturned in his pursuit of Kaedin Robinson. Can Michigan top the race?

Michigan is serious about their WR room

Aside from Kaedin Robinson, Sherrone Moore already has his eyes on three WR transfers. Michigan has been in contact with Clemson transfer Troy Stellato who hit the portal on December 3. Although he hadn’t been very productive this season, appearing in only eight games and recording only 264 yards and a score, the offer suggests that the Wolverines are trying to get everyone they can.

The next interest is UConn transfer Skyler Bell, a pursuit that might land in Ann Arbor if everything goes right. He had a fairly good season recording 47 receptions for 738 yards and four touchdowns. These two prospects aren’t enough for Michigan, though. Sherrone Moore also enticed another Yale transfer David Pantelis who’s set to visit the campus this weekend before revealing his decision next week.
