Josh Heupel’s Tennessee is officially out of the playoffs, and it’s a mess. The situation seems quite grim. Nico Iamaleava’s future with the Vols is up in the air, and coach Heupel’s stress levels are probably higher than a student facing a mountain of finals. Just when you thought the chaos was gonna subside, boom! Michigan is on the rise, and the transfer portal is exploding. It’s like Neo thought he’d escaped the Matrix, only to find himself back in the simulation, but this time, the stakes are even higher.

The Tennessee transfer portal buzz has been insane lately! It all started when Dylan Sampson declared for the NFL. But that was just the beginning. After that, rumors about Boo Carter’s transfer started flying, and then WR Squirrel White shocked everyone by announcing he was leaving too. The surprising part is White’s now the 5th WR from the Vols looking for new opportunities this offseason. And Nico Iamaleava, the Vols’ QB, definitely noticed. Is he upset? There were rumors that even he might hit the portal, but that came to rest when Mike Matthews decided to stay with the program. However, it looks like Josh Heupel can’t find peace.

Now a recent update from Michigan’s recruiting insider has created more stress for Josh Heupel, as he might be on the verge of losing his star safety. As Josh hit X, saying, “Tennessee safety transfer Christian Harrison [@ChrisHarrisonI] tells me that he has been in contact with Michigan but is yet to set a date for a visit.” Moreover, Christian Harrison also praised the program, saying, “Michigan is a great program with a lot of history.” That’s really concerning for the Vols.

It looks like Sherrone Moore is really on some mission. Michigan’s win over Alabama definitely helped soften the blow of their disappointing season. But it made it worse for Bama, as they now have 23 outgoing transfers. Similarly, Tennessee is facing ‘transfer portal’ challenges after its loss to Ohio State. At first, the heat was on Nico Iamaleava, as there were also some reports pointing out that he might go for the USC Trojans. It’s quite a situation, isn’t it?

Well, that’s not the case. Obviously, losing 5 receivers at once makes it tough on the quarterback, and it’s even got Nico a bit uneasy. But he’s said over and over that Tennessee feels like family, and he’s not looking to leave, even after getting offers from big programs like Alabama and USC. Moreover, his dad also confirmed that Nico Iamaleava’s sticking with the Vols and will be back once the transfer window closes. But it looks like that’s not the case for Christian Harrison.

Now if you think Sherrone Moore is the only one stirring the transfer portal pot around Christian Harrison, then you are wrong! One thing is pretty clear: excellence flows in the Christian’s bloodline. Knowing the fact that he is the son of former NFL legend Rodney Harrison, the thrust for excellence is uncanny. However, it would come to the stage where Josh Heupel’s team needs to hold on to their players even more.

But you know how they say ‘change is the only constant’? Well, Christian Harrison isn’t just checking out Michigan—he’s also heading to Texas A&M. Their season might have ended on a bitter note, but the team is all pumped up to build a strong roster for next season. Now Christian can give them a strong edge after the Aggies lost their defensive linemen, Nic Scourton and Shemar Stewart. If this happens, it’s going to be one of the craziest transfers of the season.

However, that’s not the end of the list. We also have Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels on the list, as Harrison is also planning on visiting Oxford. But there could be some competition there, as the Rebels have already added multiple defensive backs from the transfer cycle, like Sage Ryan from LSU and Antonio Kite from Auburn. So let’s just not blame Sherrone Moore for increasing pressure on Josh Heupel; there are more leaders looking out for Christian.
