Sherrone Moore didn’t have the best start to his career as a head coach. Iffy season, offensive woes, offensive coordinator fired, and the whole list of QBs that he went through to fix things. However, the program is planning to build the best team for the 2025 season with great players on offense. With the much-covered Bryce Underwood already added to the roster, the next thing is to give him effective weapons. What does a QB need? Well, to start with- an O-line and then build further. For the past week, Moore has been focusing on adding wide receivers to the list, and we have a new update on one player that interests the Wolverines.

Troy Stellato has been heavily pursued by multiple programs since he decided that his time at the Clemson Tigers is up. He has an injury history, but his talent has not been diminished because of that. Stellato, known for his polished route running and a fine speed of 4.4, has emerged as a hot prospect, attracting interest from Michigan. What’s the new update? Well, the WR is planning to visit Ann Arbor, and that may just do it for the Wolverines. A chance to impress him- Sherrone Moore can pull off the same magic he did with Underwood.

As we stated, Michigan’s offensive vision is becoming increasingly clear: surrounding the potential future star quarterback with elite playmakers who can hit the ground running. To bring in the championship-level offense, Sherrone Moore is focusing on getting promising weapons such as Stellato. Stellato was at Clemson for three years but was limited to just 13 games by injuries in each season. However, in the 2023 season, he brought out his best – 38 receptions and a career-high 321 yards.

What may just work for the Wolverines? Stellato desires a kind of fresh start. He will have a chance to play a crucial part for Underwood in a potent offense in Michigan.

Stellato’s upcoming visit to Michigan will coincide with the arrival of early enrollees, including Underwood, who is attending practices. He is also connecting with future teammates despite the restrictions of the NCAA. “These early interactions are invaluable,” Moore noted, emphasizing how early acclimation benefits the young players. However, before we go any further, there are two more teams looking to add Stellato to their offense.

Two teams looking to snatch the WR talent from Sherrone Moore

What’s your perspective on:

Will Stellato choose Michigan's championship potential or the fresh start offered by Kentucky or West Virginia?

Have an interesting take?

Stellato is no stranger to Kentucky, where the Wildcats want to reload at the wide receiver position after losing multiple players to the portal. Kentucky’s drive has been aided by its new transfer players, namely JJ Hester and Kendrick Law. However, the team has not replaced the lost resourcefulness and craftiness of the slot receiver known as Stellato.

West Virginia is coming up with new head coach Rich Rodriguez, and Stellato plans to see the West Virginia campus in Morgantown on January 5th. Rodriguez’s offense, which is designed for slot receivers of such a great variety, would look like an attractive proposition for Stellato since Stellato is among the Mountaineers ‘ high-priority targets. He has been mentioned as a new member of the portal, enlarging the team’s roster, with wide receiver Oran Singleton and cornerback Jordan Scruggs.

Having already visited Kentucky, Stellato will have a tough choice. Join emerging teams like Kentucky or West Virginia, or combine forces with Bryce Underwood at the home of the current national champions.
