Travis Hunter has been undergoing a tough time in his life. The Colorado Buffaloes beating heart capped off the season with an Alamo Bowl loss. But wait, it is not the only mishap that is bothering him lately. The athlete faced a lot of wrath in his love life. You can argue that the superstar kiddo got a lottery in his life. A stupendous career, a supportive girlfriend, and sky-high fame at just 21. Something that many lads even don’t dare to dream of in their late 20s. But to look at the other side of the coin, with heavy stardom, comes heavy and unwanted scrutiny.

Hunter falls on the other side and takes enough of the heat on his girlfriend, Leanna Lenee. He is done and dusted, not in a good way. But his musician friend has a Chad mantra to the save.

December has not been any kind of Coach Prime’s favorite. He took his team to a post-season bowl, brought the Heisman trophy home after a decade drought, and made a strong case for the first-round NFL draft pick but yet he is not happy with all that is happening around him. Hunter’s steady dating life seems to be on fire for the repeated negative fan exposure. From calling his girl a gold digger to calling her out not to be Hunter’s all-time cheerleader, social media did a lot of moral policing over two adults’ lives. Initially, the athlete came up and tried to clear the air, but as he failed to do so, he deactivated his profile, and Lenee followed him in no time.

Relationships are messy. Hunter’s close friend, musician Kai, recently spilled that he embraced that sweet mess in his life. While having some coffee over a candid chat with Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay, he was asked to chime in on Hunter’s love life. Kai nonchalantly put out his point of view on this entire fiasco that involved his best buddy and his fiance. Kai spoke about how it’s high time for Travis and Leanna to prioritize their love and ignore all the hate of their surroundings like a third wheel. Kai said, “Yeah, I’ve seen them deactivate their accounts. They probably gotta just escape it [social media hate]. That’s what they gotta do. Just figure that out. That’s their business… [But] it is hard. I know… It will be tough.”

Social media went to such extremes to spread rumors of Leanna potentially cheating on his man, and all because of a viral dance clip with an anonymous guy. Certainly, the judgment from the half-knowledge made zero sense. But it can inflict damage in peoples’ hearts that is beyond repair.

Thankfully, after some outside motivation, the couple came back on their social handles, and Leanna continues to be the cute girlfriend she is, following Travis like his shadow at every step.

Bad trip for the haters! Despite being absent in their virtual world for some time, the couple is going strong, hand in hand, fighting off all the evil eyes. Hunter couldn’t do much in the CU jersey in his last game against the Cougars. The collective fall restricted the Buffs to an upsetting 35-14. But no shortcut to success. It is what it is. Hunter could do nothing but let go of the pain and move on to a better future that looms large in the NFL.

But he would not have coped with it that well if he hadn’t had his all-time cheerleader, his girl, Leanna, by his side. The couple was spotted while leaving the venue after the game and put the ‘Leanna’s absence in the bowl’ controversy to a convincing end.

But the hatred continues. People judged Hunter for how he moved past a kid who waved at him in his way. Maybe he was not in a good mood to entertain any light moment at that time, which is obvious. But people can’t read emotion. All they read is controversy.

Regardless, the couple should follow through with Kai’s tip and keep all the negations out of their lives.
