The 2025 classes are wrapped up after the national signing day. Rosters for the upcoming seasons are finalized, and players are going into spring practices with high vigor. This was a class that saw prospects like Bryce Underwood making a high-profile switch to Michigan. Then there was Keelon Russell, who signed for Alabama after a close battle with colleges like Ole Miss and SMU. Tavien St. Clair was another prospect who provided national headlines after he locked in on Ohio State. All in all, this was a year of quarterbacks, it seems, and it has now ended. The focus is now aggressively shifting toward the 2026 class.

At first glance, it seems top QB prospects are quite scarce in the 2026 class, with only Jared Curtis making the top five list. That is probably the reason why teams are aggressively pursuing even 4-star QBs who could supplement that scarcity. One of those 4-star prospects who is ranked 47th overall in the 2026 class by On3, Bowe Bentley, has finally locked in on 6 potential destinations and will visit them this month. He revealed that in a recent statement.

Bentley talked about (per On3) how the visits will influence his decision for his final commitment. “These visits are huge for me; I want to see how things operate on a day-to-day basis and how the team operates as a whole. Then I want to see how the coaches operate when coaching and being shown how much of a priority I am to them.” The player will majorly be making unofficial visits in March 2025 and has yet to make official visits. But it seems his favorite 6 destinations are LSU, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Oklahoma, the only teams he is focusing on right now. But his major inclination seems to be leaning towards Georgia as of now.

The player had just visited the Oklahoma Sooners’ camp on 10th March, which was his second unofficial visit to Brent Venables’ team, and spent most of the weekend at the college. His next visit would be to LSU, which is scheduled to be on 15th March; then, he will move to Ohio State on 18th March, Georgia on 20th March, followed by Florida State on 22nd March, and Georgia Tech on 29th. The prospect is looking forward to all these visits, but it seems Georgia’s setup favors him the most, as he said, “They consistently put players in the league, which is my end goal.”

Surely, every prospect will have the famed NFL in his mind when signing for any team. So, Bentley is no stranger to that fact. Georgia is undoubtedly known to be the factory of talent, churning out first-round draft picks year after year. In the 2024 draft, the Bulldogs’ Brock Bowers (TE) and Amarius  Mims (OT) were the first-round picks, with an impressive 8 players making it to the NFL through the Georgia ranks. That being said, the Bulldogs haven’t snatched any first-round picks in their quarterback room in recent years, so that should also be taken into consideration. Moving on, it seems Bentley has finally provided the timeline of commitment to Georgia, or any other team for that matter, in his recent statement.

Whenever I have a very strong feeling on where I want to play is when I will commit. Constantly growing a relationship with the coaches and learning more about the team and who I will be around will help me make my decision.” He also talked about LSU and Florida State and his relationship with LSU OC Joe Sloan. “My relationship with coach Sloan and seeing the history LSU has with quarterbacks.” About FSU, he said, “Learning about how I can fit into their offense and how I can grow as a player and man in their program.”

In conclusion, the race for this highly sought-after prospect will be quite intense. Oklahoma Sooners can also not be underestimated, as they are currently looking for a solution at depths in their QB room after the hiring of their new offensive coordinator. In terms of probability rankings on On3, they are ranked first at 39.8%, which is quite significant when you compare it to other teams. But the real deal is that the race is quite open with NIL, and coach relationships potentially playing their part heavily in his commitment.
