What you have doesn’t define you. It’s about what you can do for others.” That quote didn’t come from a coach, a preacher, or some media-trained veteran. It came from someone who just finished high school and is about to enter college. And not any kid. This one’s already cashing checks with his name on them. And if you scroll past the polished cleats and Friday night lights, you’ll find a quiet revolution brewing.

Some kids play the NIL game better than anyone else. But perhaps Taz Williams Jr. is one of the leaders of the game. A 4-star WR out of Red Oak, Texas, he’s flipping the NIL script even before suiting up for the Baylor Bears. That little $ sign in his X username? It’s not just flair; it’s strategy. It’s Taz William$ Jr., and he just came up with a brilliant initiative, which he shared on X.

Posting an ad video of his very own company, he rallied for support—“I used some of my NIL money and started Sports Consulting Company, @TazWillCo please support 🙏🏼” “It’s about executing excellence and delivering results while seeing the big picture,” the video said. And of course, it’s tailor-made for college athletes.

Taz Williams Jr.’s latest endeavor is Taz Williams Consultant. It offers diverse services like recruiting liaison, social media exposure, media prep, NIL negotiations, content creation, and transfer portal navigation. Everything a rising college football star needs to thrive in this competitive era. And he’s a master of the social game with already 20.8K followers on X and 500K followers across all social platforms. With multiple NIL deals already in place, he isn’t just another recruit with flash. He’s building infrastructure, and yeah, with a little bit of help and direction.

Taz Williams Sr., his dad, made it clear that it’s not just about the follower count that gets you going. “It’s not really what you’re worth; it’s kind of about what you can negotiate,” he said back in February. But there’s also a danger where money is involved. As Williams Sr. said it himself, “Anytime there’s money involved, the sharks are gonna come out.” But the counter?

It’s imperative that an athlete in high school has a certified and legit NIL agent,” sports agent and community leader Patrick Arryn said. Williams Sr. dropped valuable advice, saying, “Create a circle. You got to have your trust circle. Whether it’s trainers, coaches, advisors, mentors, you got a team, and you kind of got to stick with that team.” And just see where this had landed Taz Williams Jr. three months later. But the NIL isn’t the only place where this kid is thriving.

Taz Williams Jr. is a highly coveted player

You can tell by the number of offers received that Taz Williams Jr. is a special player. Not only does he play football, but the 6-foot, 190-pounder also excels in basketball and track. Last spring, he ran a 200-meter with 22.09 and 22.42 times. He also bagged a silver medal in the 4×200 relay, running the first leg of Red Oak’s Texas 5A. No doubt he’s going to be a speedy receiver in college. He’s the No. 60 WR and the No. 55 in the state of Texas in the class of 2025.

Last season may not have gone the way he expected, but Taz Williams Jr. still received a whopping 55 offers from basically all the biggest names in college football, like Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and more. But he committed to Baylor on July 13, 2024. Word was that the Bears made a strong late push with a massive NIL package.
