‘They’re having a baby’: Bill Belichick’s 24-YO Girlfriend Draws Sports Gossip Show’s Attention With Unfiltered Take

Bill Belichick has never carried simultaneous reverence from everyone in the football world. For all his success and greatness, he’s always shed reasons not to be a fan. It’s almost as if he used to revel in the hate he got from certain factions during his prime. It would be an understatement to say Bill Belichick’s coaching career, especially in New England, was marred by frequent controversy. The infamous “SpyGate” comes to mind as the epitome. Even as Belichick enters this new leg of his career and life, the 72-year-old is not quite walking a linear, conventional path.

Belichick caused a stir when his exit from the Patriots coincided with him publicizing his relationship with 24-year-old Jordan Hudson. How we’ve heard about rebounds, and Belichick sure was coming out of a 23-year ‘marriage’ with the Pats. But he may have taken the next number in order too literally. The couple apparently met via pure fate on an airplane and sat adjacent to each other. Their relationship is 2 years strong now, and Jordan has naturally begun taking interest in Belichick’s coaching career. This interest transpired into involvement recently. This showed up in one particular post on her IG, which spun a football podcaster into a whole ‘nother realm of possibilities.

Over on the “Sports Gossip Show”, hosts and sports journalists Madeline Hill and Charlotte Wilder discussed Jordan Hudson’s recent IG activity. She’d posted a picture of herself and Bill Belichick while she held a football. The two looked romantically at each other in front of a backdrop colored in the iconic UNC blue. Jordan captioned this post: “Pictured: two people who are overtly committed to @uncfootball 🩵🏈” This was a not-so-subtle reference to rumors of Bill Belichick already leaving the Tar Heels to foray back into the NFL. That facet wasn’t the crux of the conversation on the podcast, though. Far from it. The nature of the photograph, linked below, instinctively sent Madeline Hill’s mind into thinking this was a pregnancy announcement!

“My first thought when I saw the photo, before reading the caption, I was like, ‘they’re having a baby.’” she remarked “I don’t know why, but there’s something about it…it feels like a pregnancy announcement or something,” Her co-host Charlotte Wilder too began concurring with this sentiment! She mentioned how the “baby-blue background” makes it appear like you’re having a boy.  Hill proceeded to say, “It just feels like the caption would be something like- Coming soon…UNC’s next recruit.” The most amazing thing in this entire ordeal is that they’re actually making sense when you look at the picture! The two hosts actually proceeded to lay some concern over the dynamic of the relationship with regard to Bill Belichick’s career.

“How is Bill [Belichick] letting her speak for him like this?…Is he like, ‘Yeah, post this. I’m not going to the NFL’?” questioned Wilder. That is a fair rationale. The rumors of Belichick’s return to the pros have dissipated and then picked up steam continually, like a bit of a rollercoaster. For Jordan to post this and seemingly end the discourse around the proverbial GOAT was a powerful move. But alas, she didn’t really succeed. A couple of days after this post, one wrinkle in Belichick’s UNC contract stirred up the debate once again. As aforementioned, the guy just can’t keep away from controversy. 

Murmurs of Bill Belichick’s return to the NFL are based on evidence

There’s an underlying yet prevalent belief that Bill Belichick won’t last long in Chapel Hill. Now, his actions do suggest otherwise to be fair. For starters, He has already hit the road and visited potential recruits. He uprooted his son Steve Belichick from the Washington Huskies to be his defensive coordinator. He has even tagged along long-tenured NFL exec Michael Lombardi to be GM of the Tar Heels, as he tries to change the fortunes of the program. Despite all this in the affirmative, his contractual situation has kept people on edge.

In a sensational revelation that was equal parts damning and shrewd, Bill Belichick was yet to put pen to paper on his UNC contract until this week. Belichick had been captaining the ship while he wasn’t even contractually obligated. This didn’t help dispel the NFL rumors one bit. Now that he has finally put pen to paper, a clause in the contract, which was already floated as a possibility, has now been confirmed. Yes, Belichick and Jordan Hudson are in Chapel Hill for the foreseeable. But they may yet leave before he coaches a single game. Belichick’s UNC contract initially had a $10 million buyout, but this was rather fallacious. This figure drops down to $1 million on June 1st, 2025. Before the NFL and CFB seasons even begin. 

It’s apparent that Belichick carefully placed this into his contract to have a contingency plan. Therefore, Jordan’s post going the complete opposite way is quite intriguing. Madeline Hill construed that picture in a very different context. But what it actually signifies is still a mystery. Just an opportune moment to go viral? Or is it a sign of being Belichick’s one true confidante? That’s up for discernment.
