College football is crazy. You’re up and pumping your fists for your favorite team, and then you instantly switch to seeing the outcome of an unexpected brawl. Now, that’s something that happened between Texas A&M and Missouri. It was a close game, and the Aggies could’ve pulled off a massive upset, but what people are talking about is Moose Muhammad III assaulting a ref. Seriously, what the heck was that about?
Picture this: it’s getting intense, the spectators are on their feet, and Moose is making incredible movements all the time. Then all of a sudden he had it out with an official, it was wild, almost like something out of a movie. It began as a standard fight ——footballers being passionate and aggressive — and then, BOOM! Moose throws a punch. That was recorded, and now everyone has a taste of it. People, especially the fans, are left wondering, like, “Did that just happen?” And the craziest part? No consequences for Moose. The refs saw the whole thing, but it’s like they just figuratively muted the aftermath. Social media is going gaga with people pointing out, “Texas A&M is getting away with everything today.”

Now, let’s take a look at the big picture. It must be noted that while Moose was busy throwing hands, the game had quite some implications. Texas A&M’s star quarterback, Conner Weigman, was back after being sidelined by an injury. You would think that getting rid of it altogether would be the biggest issue here, would you not?
But all that anybody could pay any attention to was the agitation that came with Moose. Instead of celebrating Weigman’s comeback, the spotlight shifted to a punch thrown on the field. That is the kind of stuff that fans go mad over. Everyone else is playing well, but one of your players comes up with a moment of madness.

Even with the drama, Texas A&M was still handling business. Up 34-7, they looked sharp. Quarterback Conner Weigman, who was back from an injury, has been solid so far. He hit some big throws, including a 32-yard pass to Terry Bussey. That drive ended with a 38-yard field goal from Randy Bond, extending their lead to 34-0.

Did Moose Muhammad III just expose a double standard in college football's disciplinary actions?
Have an interesting take?
Missouri didn’t do much, but they had one bright spot. Brady Cook connected with Theo Wease Jr. for a 59-yard touchdown. That was their first score, but by then, it was way too late. The Aggies were in control the whole way.
Missouri also had a decent run by Nate Noel, who picked up 15 yards, but it didn’t change the game. Texas A&M’s defense was all over them until that one big play.

But really, no one’s talking about the game. It’s all about Moose. The Aggies are in the middle of a tough SEC run, and they can’t afford these distractions. If they don’t focus, it could mess up their season. With Weigman back and the team playing well, they need to move past this.
Fans are waiting to see if Moose gets any punishment. Will Texas A&M handle it? Or will they let it slide? Either way, this game will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Let’s hope next week is just about football.
