There was a time when the Texas Longhorns HC Steve Sarkisian enjoyed having the best QB. The CBS Sports analyst Nico Iamaleva ranked QB Quinn Ewers the No.1 QB. But poor Sarkisian! He and his program fell prey to bad luck as Ewers underwent a serious injury. But somewhere he lives by the hope that Ewers is going to return.
So much so, that the Longhorns HC fails to arrive at any decision. However, he has to make up his mind by Friday, September 27. Even though the HC is yet to make the decision, Ewers or Arch Manning, the fans have already placed their favorite one on the QB throne.
Steve Sarkisian’s tough call as Quinn Ewers is at the edge

Sarkisian and Texas are yet to come up with the injury updates for Ewers. But it does not look good. The abdominal strain that the QB has suffered from is usually divided into three grades, having three timelines to recover. Grade I takes two to four weeks, a Garde II tear can sideline the player for two months while Grade III has no other options other than going for surgery. But Sarkisian has to make a call, “We’re going to decide on the quarterback thing tomorrow.”
Maybe his heart is still aching for his QB Ewers as he confessed, “Want to give Quinn every opportunity to see if he’s ready to play.” Whether you like it or not, this bias is justified. After all, it was Ewers who had set the Big 12 Conference record for most passing yards, in the championship race with 452 yards.

He even played a huge role in winning over the defending Nation Champions Michigan Wolverines when the QB completed 18 of 26 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns. But it won’t matter much to the Longhorns fans if Manning replaces Ewers since they are already rooting for the 19-year-old.
Arch Manning’s big debut in Quinn Ewers’ absence
After Ewers fell prey to injury against the UTSA Roadrunners, Manning had to step in. And guess what? The young signal caller made an immediate impact and wooed the fans completing a 19-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Moore Jr. Even though he only played for two quarters, it did not stop Manning from unleashing his full potential.
The latest member of the Manning legacy completed 9 of 12 passes for 223 yards and threw four touchdown passes. With this, the fans went all head-over-heels for the grandson of the legendary Archie Manning. If given a petition they would probably sign in and won’t even think twice before pressurizing Sarkisian to permanently hand him the keys to the offense. One of them can’t wait for the swap, “I can’t wait for him to take take the reins next year, he’s a m*kn dawg.” Another Longhorns enthusiast believes that “The future is now.”

But much before the fans, it was NFL legend Drew Brees who made a bold prophecy about Arch Manning, “Yours is the guy, yours is going to have a great season they’re going to be National Championship contenders this year.” Does that mean that Steve Sarkisian will have to give in to the pressure and strike off Quinn Ewers?
