“Orbit Sweep and Spinner G/H Counter and Bluff Reverse.” Chef’s fricking kiss. You know you made it as an HC when the best of the best is out there taking your moves. For Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns, the journey to the No.3 spot in the country wasn’t exactly easy. Yeah, you might argue, “They have no big wins really, other than a big loss to Georgia” but does it take away from the fact that Steve Sarkisian’s offense and defense have been one of the best as of now? Yeah, the QB issues from Quinn Ewers still plague the team, but at the end of the day, that guy got Sark and Co. on the natty run. Arch Manning might be better, but is he making plays like these?
When the Chiefs took the gridiron against the Bills, Patrick Mahomes and Xavier Worthy took a page out of Sark’s book. Mahomes ran two fakes, and it looked like he was gonna launch the football. But nope. Worthy swapped in like he was Batman or something and got an en-around after Mahomes flipped the football to the WR. “Is that crazy? Andy Reid copying Sark,” the host from ‘Wheelin’ & Dealin’ pointed out. The Gators game. Ewers takes the football, runs a double fake, and Isaiah Bond gets the handoff.

“You get in there and you start going through what if. What if?” Sark pointed out when talking about the play. Boom!! a 44-yard bomb gain for Bond and the Horns. Not only did this move set the tone for the SEC clash, but it also allowed the Horns to hook the Gators and drag them through a painful 17-49 loss.

Andy Reid made the perfect choice. The idea behind this entire play is simple. Get your best man out there and let him make the play. Worthy wasn’t doing badly before that play. He had 4 catches for a gain of 61 yards and also a major TD against the Bills. However, adding that fake is like adding the cherry on top of that beautiful cake!!
Can we expect to see the same against Arizona? Yeah, we all know that revealing all the 13 “secret” herbs and spices ruins the fun, but what if Sark and his boys pull the same trick against ASU and completely embarrass them?

The Devils on the horizon
This is either gonna be a blowout or one he-k of a head-to-head game. See, Joel Klatt put his money on Arizona and Kenny Dillingham. “I’m gonna take the twelve and a half there with Arizona State,” Klatt had pointed out. This was quite surprising but understandable.
2024 has been the year where the underdogs have dominated the run. Only 2 SEC big dogs remain in contention for the cup, and with how ASU ended their regular season run, we could end up seeing them catch up to Sark and Co.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Andy Reid's playbook getting stale, or is he just smart for borrowing from Sarkisian?
Have an interesting take?
But then again, take it with a grain of salt. “Do we see Tuscaloosa of 2023 Quinn Ewers?” You get this version of Ewers on the gridiron and ASU is pretty much done for. 350 yards and 3 touchdowns against a team led by Nick Saban ain’t no joke.

Yeah, the health problems have been a major worry, but Sark has faith in his boy. If you get that 100% from Quinn Ewers, then nothing is going to stop the Longhorns from hooking the Devils and dragging them out of the natty run.
