After a deep playoff run the previous season, momentum seems to be with Texas Longhorns and Steve Sarkisian. He produced a 6th-ranked class in 2024 with big names like Colin Simmons and Brandon Baker. Moved on to the 2025 class and spectacularly roped in some of the best recruits in the country. A class that ranks 1 nationally with names like Jonah Williams, Justus Terry, and Lance Jackson. Now Sarkisian wants the same for his 2026 class.
So far, Texas has roped in 4 commits in the 2026 class, which is ranked 11 nationally. The class looks scarce for now, and that is why Sarkisian is doing everything, pulling off moves and visiting prospects left, right, and center to do that. The latest addition to the class is Nicolas Robertson (IOL). A player who committed on 29 March 2025, after a long tussle between programs like LSU and Alabama. The move is said to be a big win for the team and the class, considering the quality of the player.

Hayesfawcett43, a prominent college football recruiting reporter, provided the update on Robertson’s commitment. “Four-Star IOL Nicolas Robertson has Committed, to Texas, he tells me for @on3recruits. The 6’4” 330 IOL from Spring, TX chose the Longhorns over Texas A&M & Houston. Fawcett also wrote about the message the player conveyed, “All glory to God time to get to work! Hook’ Em”.
Robertson will be crucial in Sarkisian’s camp as he is a 4-star offensive lineman who hails from Klein High School, Spring, Texas. Standing at 6 feet 3 and weighing around 330 lbs, he is the 29th-ranked interior offensive lineman in the country and is ranked 347 nationally. Robertson brings a crucial set of skills with his power and size, coupled with exceptional athleticism. He also has the ability to play multiple roles in the offensive line as a left tackle as opposed to his primary position, which is offensive guard.
When watching his tape, one can easily analyze the type of game awareness the player has. He is not only capable of protecting the QB’s blind side but also has incredible quickness when you compare his size. In the offensive setup of Steve Sarkisian, which uses gap schemes and utilizes inside zonal concepts, Robertson will fit like a glove. Apart from all the above skills, he can also create space and pockets ahead, which Kyle Flood tends to use and utilize.

Well, we haven’t seen much of Arch Manning to pass a verdict. But the performances that Manning has produced till now merit some upward movement in that list. In the last season, he garnered close to 1,000 passing yards for 9 touchdowns and also scored 4 rushing touchdowns. Surely, this isn’t a lot, but it gives you an idea of the performances Manning can produce. So far, players like DJ Lagway of Florida and LaNorris Sellars of South Carolina are ahead of Manning. Now it remains to be seen if Manning can prove the prediction wrong and keep the Manning legacy intact.
