College football playoff ranking makes things intriguing for the programs on an eventful November’s day. Serving fans’ new narratives to munch on, Ohio State and Ryan Day landed at a semi-predicted No. 2. in the first set of CFP rankings. Oregon unquestionably took up the marksman’s crown as the only undefeated after week 10. But then there had been a hypothetical contention between the Buckeyes and the Bulldogs for the second spot, as both the powerhouses stand as the high-impact one-loss teams under the mix. While some analysts kept Ohio State a step back for their decision-making mess up throughout the season, Day ended up surpassing Kirby Smart. That said, the playoff hope can still slip out of the Buckeyes’ hand as No. 12 Boise State can send a threat as per the latest projected bracket.
Now, as the plausible reality hints toward an Ohio State (Big Ten championship runner-up) vs. 12. Boise State (highest-ranked Group of 5 champions) first-round match, the dreams of an elusive championship keep flying over the lore.
”Man, what if Boise State shocks the world in that opener? What if they beat Ohio State somehow, then you have gotta think, I mean that road’s pretty clear you think they can get past BYU and then those Broncos sitting in a semifinal 120 minutes away from a national championship with a potential rematch against an Oregon team that it came down to the wire against in Autzen in September? Who knows, man!” Richard Johnson of CBS Sports had a fairytale ride vision for Boise State.

BSU ended up one place behind the Alabama Crimson Tide in the coveted playoff list. Although they are at the bottom line of the rankings, sitting at No. 12, Spencer Danielson created history for the Broncos. They took a sharp jump from 2019’s #19. The 12-team format panned out extremely beneficial for Ashton Jeanty and the team.
Now, you can put hundreds of logic into undermining Boise State’s potential by referring to their comparatively poor season stats, but having a Heisman frontrunner like Jeanty is an absolute flex for Danielson and the team. But the Boise State is much more.

The highly hyped-up Broncos Running Back came from the Naval base prep football background before his improbable football career took over. He’s putting together one of the loftiest seasons in history, leading his team to a noticeable front with almost every game. The wonder guy has racked up 1,525 yards on the season and with an average of 8 yards per carry. However, Boise State has some overall potential under its belt as well.
They have a 45-24 win against a ranked Washington State team and a win against a UNLV team that is receiving votes. They only let it go against Oregon by a field goal as the clock ticked. A single defeat against the top dog in the league doesn’t lower their grade, anyway.
The Broncos aren’t just on Ashton Jeanty’s stage to perform. Quarterback Maddux Madsen amassed 24 of 32 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns against San Diego State. The Boise State defense showcases a solid pace, topping the nation in sacks per game.
