Stephen A. Smith is still sore from Alabama QB Jalen Milroe‘s antics! Now as two of the most powerful CFB teams are set to face each other on September 28, his warning to the Crimson Tide takes heat. Despite Nick Saban‘s retirement, whom Smith hails as the “great one,” he still remains an Alabama fan who is hungry for a win against Kirby Smart and Georgia. But desperation and frustration tinged his tone and words as he challenged both Kalen DeBoer and Jalen Milroe.

In a debate between Alabama and Georgia posted by ESPN on YouTube on September 26, Stephen A. Smith first reiterated his respect for GOAT Nick Saban saying, “There is only one Nick Saban and he handled his business. Now, you, Kalen DeBoer is the successor to the great one that is Nick Saban. This is big.” Then he emphasized how important it was to win this game against the No. 2 Bulldogs citing that it would pave the way for them to be undefeated. He followed this with a big warning for Jalen Milroe.

As Smith’s co-hosts were talking about how Alabama has a 66% chance to win against Georgia, he took a shot at Jalen Milroe from out of nowhere. He snapped, “Milroe, handle your business… He came to First Take and he sat up there, talked junk. You’re going to show up against Georgia and handle your business. Handle it. No passes. None.” But how did this come to be?

Previously, Smith threw shade at Jalen Milroe saying that he’s not “what we are accustomed to seeing from the quarterback position at Alabama.” The Heisman Trophy contender retaliated by appearing on First Take when Smith wasn’t present as a viral social media post of him addressing Smith can to surface. In the video, Milroe said, “Jalen Milroe here at ‘First Take,’ you know, hate that I didn’t get to see you today, but just know that I remember what you said, that Jalen Milroe ain’t it.” This season, especially in his next game, Jalen Milroe has an additional motivation to win and be the guy that Smith said he isn’t.

Jalen Milroe is dominating the season

In an episode on First Take, Stephen A. Smith challenged the Alabama QB saying, “Let me tell you something, Jalen Milroe, if you want to sit up there and shut me up: WIN THIS GAME RIGHT HERE!” Milroe is currently 1-0 against Georgia after beating them in last year’s SEC Championship game.

This season, Jalen Milroe showed his dominance in all three games played with an impressive 147-26 record. He finished with 590 yards and eight touchdowns with zero interceptions. Would he be able to shut Smith up with a win against the Bulldogs for the first time under Kalen DeBoer? Even Kirby Smart is wary of the upcoming game because he knows there’s talent in Alabama. The big news will come soon!
