After deciding to stay with the Trojans despite being a backup for two years, he earned immense respect from his teammates, his coaches, and his fans. In a recent appearance, head coach Lincoln Riley praised Miller Moss for everything he has done for the team.

Riley referred to Moss’s journey with the Trojans and how he stayed loyal to the program by saying, “he’s got a great mind for it. He’s had a, you know, kind of cool story. Obviously, it’s been well documented in terms of, you know, dreamed of being a USC Trojans, you know, stay here when he didn’t have to. Obviously, really put the program, and I think both the program and his dreams of not just playing quarterback this level but doing it at this school, he put that front and center, and I think that’s earned him the respect of our team, the locker room, really the entire program.“

Riley highlighted a few facts about Miller Moss. First, it was his dream, since he was 10, to be with the Trojans. He showed patience by waiting for two years for his chance to come, and in August 2024, Lincoln Riley rewarded him by naming him as the starting QB for USC.
