“It could have gone sideways fast.” Instead, we get an instant classic and the Irish gnaw and claw to the natty game. For the first time in 36 years, Marcus Freeman has managed to make the leprechauns happy. The team that started with a shaky win against the Aggies has now transformed into ‘America’s team’ but that ain’t the only golden thing about them. Remember when Marcus Freeman and his boys made the headlines for Charles Du‘s mandarin jersey? Yeah, it looks like we have found another banger for you guys, and honestly, it doesn’t even surprise us that Freeman has access to such talented lads.
ND’s men’s lacrosse team’s championship path is an eerie parallel to its football counterpart. They managed to lose the game against Georgetown in OT but then went on to snag the natty win. For the football half, their Northern Illinois loss still haunts them, but they are one game away from lifting that trophy yet again. 2 national champ rings? Jordan Faison is one lucky sophomore. “Notre Dame WR Jordan Faison has a chance to win two national championships in less than nine months,” CBS Sports pointed out.

Pine Crest is where it all started. “He has his priorities are in order. He’s great at time management to handle all the rigors of academics at Notre Dame and then now you’re throwing in two sports, which is unheard of these days at Division I for football and lacrosse,” Pine Crest lacrosse coach George Harris mentioned. Faison has been an important part of the Pine Crest lacrosse team, and his journey started when he was only 10 years old.
From there to cracking Division I football? Deion Sanders, you have some competition. And it’s not like the lacrosse natty win was a “luck” thing. Faison has been doing this for a long time now. For Pine Crest football, the young lad managed to get the Panthers to the playoffs. A feat that had never been done before since 1998.
This guy managed to create history by becoming the first player coming from Pine Crest who has had a shot at FBS-level football since 2013. Now you see why we say Freeman always has a new surprise in store for us? Man, this entire OSU vs ND game is building up to becoming something unreal. On one corner, you have your Big 10 kings who have successfully dogwalked the SEC out, and on the other hand, you have a team that has no conference but still is breaking skulls. Who wins?
The fate that awaits the Fighting Irish
Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl. 2 games gave us 2 very distinct pictures of Notre Dame football. Against Georgia, it was a slop fest. Kirby Smart was already walking into this game crippled and without their starting QB, and the drop-prone curse didn’t do them any favor.

What’s your perspective on:
Can Marcus Freeman's magic lead Notre Dame to another national championship, or is it just luck?
Have an interesting take?
However, whenever there was a glimpse of greatness, ND didn’t waste time to curb it. The Dawgs scratched and clawed to a disappointing 62 yards against the chaotic Irish defense. And well, this was enough to seal the 10-23 fate. But Penn State. No,w this was a different look.
Listen, you can give James Franklin as much hate as you want for choking a big game yet again,n but you cannot deny the fact that the Lions had the Irish biting their nails. ND had the lead going into the 4th quarter, but Franklin and Co. managed to tie at 24-24. One OT game and things could’ve gone in the Lions’ favor.
But that one 41-yard bomb from Mitch Jeter sealed Penn State’s fate, and the Irish went home with a Pot o’ Gold. How does all of this compare to the North? See, OSU is playing in a different league. You can see and tell that the Michigan loss hurt them cause they took out that frustration on the SEC boys and the proverbial kings of college football, the Ducks.

Our guess? On defense, ND takes the lead as always, but the Bucks and their reformed offense with Jeremiah Smith and Will Howard could bring things down to the wire. One of the 2 teams is getting blown out. We just gotta wait and watch which.
