Treavor Scales, a sideline reporter; analyst Max Browne; and Thom Brennaman, a play-by-play commentator, will be on the team. You can trust this team—they’re all highly experienced, and Brennaman’s broadcasting background speaks for itself.
Following his graduation from Ohio College in 1986, Brennaman started his career in radio. His early career included work as a play-by-play commentator for the Cincinnati Reds with Hall of Famer Johnny Bench. Then he joined Fox Sports in 1994 and quickly rose to prominence as one of the network’s main voices for MLB and NFL coverage. He was well-known for calling important games, such as CFB games and the Bowl Title Series. His time at Fox Sports ended abruptly in 2020 after he was recorded uttering a homophobic slur on a hot mic during an on-air interview. He was fired by Fox and the Cincinnati Reds as a result of this episode, which sparked a lot of criticism.
But he didn’t give up on his career dream. Brennaman returned to broadcasting in 2024 as The CW’s chief college football game commentator, following a nearly four-year hiatus. He conveyed his appreciation for the chance to resume broadcasting, saying that during his break, he had taken some time to think back on his previous errors. And he realized what he did was not right. So, you’re probably wondering what happened, right?

Well, during the August 19, 2020, television coverage of a Cincinnati Reds game, Brennaman was caught on camera using a homosexual slur. When he called Kansas City “one of the f*** capitals of the world,” he did not realize his microphone was still on following a commercial break. But now is the moment to gaze upon the other Snoop Dogg Bowl game commentators’ professional journeys.
The career path of Snoop Dogg Bowl’s news reporters
Although he is not as well-known as Brennaman, Browne has made a name for himself in the sports broadcasting industry after playing football in college. After playing QB for USC, Browne went into broadcasting. He has been a broadcaster and analyst for several sports networks, mostly covering college football. Because of his extensive expertise as a top-tier player, Browne can offer distinct viewpoints on player performances and game strategies. His experience is representative of the increasing number of former athletes who are using their first-hand knowledge of the sport to land broadcasting jobs.
