Last week, Deion Sanders guaranteed that his son Shedeur, would be the number 1 draft pick next year. In fact, he made it clear that the Giants will likely have the first pick and it is not difficult to guess where Coach Prime sees his son landing in the NFL. The Buffs QB has been one the impressive players this season and has been heavily touted to fill the gap at the Giants as a starting quarterback. But analyst Adam Schefter has come up with an interesting plan to shatter those hopes.
The New York Giants landing Shedeur chatter got aggravated now that the Buffs QB was spotted recently on the streets of NYC. Even though Deion’s son flew to New York to attend Travis Hunter’s Heisman award, it has only added fuel to the fire. On top of that, NFL reporter Ryan Dunleavy reported a viral video clip featuring Sanders, “So, #Giants Malik Nabers and Shedeur Sanders are playing catch on the streets of NY while Sanders is in town for Heisman,” he shared.
Well, we are yet to receive a confirmation from Brian Daboll and Co. about their interest in the Buffs QB. While the Giants desperately need someone to get the ball rolling at QB and Shedeur will fit the bill, a $6.6 billion NFL franchise can rain on the Giants’ Shedeur parade if they take Schefter’s advice.

“If the Eagles’ seed is in hand and there’s nothing at stake, I would say they would not want to get Saquon[Barkley] on their record because you know what? They’d want to sit down, rest their players and make sure the Giants win that last game. So the Giants then fall from one or two to seven and don’t get their quarterback of the future. So there’s the hidden meaning,” Schefter said.
The Giants are in desperate need to land a quarterback of the future and Shedeur Sanders may fit easily into their scheme of things. This season the franchise has suffered a dismal 2-13 record and a win against their arch-rivals, who sit top of the NFC East looks unlikely. On top of that, Schefter’s idea of the Eagles resting Saquon Barkley may not sit right, since he is chasing Eric Dickerson’s season rushing record.
Currently, Barkley has 1,838 yards rushing for the season and will need big hauls in the last two games to overcome Dickerson’s 2,105 yards for the Rams set in 1984. Hence, the idea of the Eagles having him rest against the Giants may be far-fetched, or is it?
The Eagles vs Giants rivalry is steeped in history and there is no love lost between the two. The Giants were the Eagles’ first opponent in 1933 and a lot has happened since then. Vintage fans will recall the “Miracle at the Meadowlands,” in 1978, when the Giants were trying to run down the clock with 20 seconds to go but fumbled it, and Eagles’ Herman Edwards picked it up and ran for the touchdown.
The Giants fan will also remember the 1981 NFC Wild Card game fondly. Led by quarterback Scott Brunner, they romped to a 20-0 lead before the Eagles rallied, but the Giants held on for a 27-21 win. Coming from the same division, their stadiums, the Linc and MetLife Stadium are less than 100 miles away from each other. The fans would love nothing more than to see the other suffer and it wouldn’t be entirely surprising if the Eagles pulled off what Schefter has suggested. Depriving your nemesis of a top QB pick would be something many Philly fans will cherish.

There are lots of ifs and buts in this scenario, with the Raiders also in the equation. But if Deion Sanders’ words are to be analyzed, the Giants are the destination for Shedeur, that is if the Eagles don’t play spoilsport. Speaking on The Pacman Jones Show, the Buffs HC said, “Giants are not going to give up that pick. They’re not going to give up that pick. The Giants are not giving up that pick. I know that for a fact.” He then went on to add who he thinks the Giants will pick first, adding, “Shedeur is going to be the No. 1 pick.”
While Coach Prime didn’t explicitly say that his son will join the Giants, his words hint he might be ok with the move happening.
Many draft projects also put Shedeur with the Raiders with the QB reportedly himself interested in a move to the ‘Sin City.’ According to Giants beat writer Jordan Raanan, “Multiple sources close to Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado program also believe his preference would be to land in Las Vegas.”
There is still time for Shedeur to decide his future, but this reported interest even led to a young fan asking Sanders to avoid a move to Vegas.

Young fan’s hilarious plea for Shedeur Sanders as the Buffs QB shows his support for the franchise
A few days back, Shedeur and his buddy and Buffs’ dual-threat Hunter got lucky enough to show some basketball skills. Before the Valero Alamo Bowl on December 28, Deion’s football program was honored. And guess what? Like the gridiron, it was difficult to take the eyes off the duo as they kept spreading their magic on the basketball court. So much so that little fans started huddling up to get their jerseys signed by the QB.
That’s when a little fan was waiting patiently to meet Shedeur. As he handed on his jersey, he had a message for Deion’s son. “He,y you’re the best bro. Don’t go to the Raiders. Raiders s- -k,” pleaded the young fan. To which Shedeur counter-questioned, “Why not the Raiders?” So it was evident that the quarterback probably sees the Las Vegas Raiders as his first NFL stop.

Looks like Shedeur is already imagining himself in the Raiders squad. So much so that from now he is celebrating their win. The Raiders finally ended their 10-game losing streak. As they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Buffs QB tweeted, “Legendary.” So now you know who that was for!
