Pleasing Football fans is not everyone’s cup of tea. Before the showdown between the USC Trojans and the LSU Tigers, the focus is not on the game, but on the hype video dropped by the Trojans just before the match. The video’s outcome led fans to question the team’s thought process, which resulted in severe trolling. But what made them do so? Let’s get into it.

Well, the drama begins! LSU Tigers are going to face USC Trojans for week 2. But it seems USC Trojans are preparing for a war. Today the team took Twitter to share their teaser video ahead of the match saying, “cleared for takeoff and ready for battle. It’s the Arrival of the Trojan.” The video looks very energetic and interesting but fans do not seem to agree with it, as they found team’s connection to the Trojan Horse unnecessary. It made them question USC Trojans’ intention of establishing a connection with the Greek mythology. A fan took “X” to say,“This is sick. Also Trojans weren’t in the Trojan horse. Also they lost that war”.

In the video, you can see Trojan warriors fighting on a battlefield, followed by a close-up shot of a massive Trojan Horse, which unveils the USC players. The camera then zooms out and shifts its focus to an airplane, with players jumping in the center of the LA Memorial Coliseum. The reference taken by the team does not convince fans. However, the Trojan Horse was the symbol of loss for the Greeks. As it was only there to make the entrance for them during the war. The Greeks constructed the giant horse to let the army in to take the city. Well, the video didn’t mention any direct relation to the history, fans’ reaction seemed quite brutal and confusing.

Fans take on USC Trojan’s video

A fan took to Twitter to share his uncertainty about the big horse relation saying “Wait, they know the Trojans weren’t the ones in the horse right?” Following this, another fan shared the same opinion raising questions on the whole idea of the video: “I have questions: 1) Is the plane supposed to be the Trojan horse? 2) Do the USC people realize the Trojan horse was the thing the Greeks used to trick the Trojans so they could get inside the walls (and ultimately beat them)?”

Almost every fan reacted similarly to the teaser, saying “Do they think that Trojans were in the Trojan horse?” the intention was not clear to any of them. “Wait, does USC think that the Trojans were inside the Trojan Horse” they said. They crafted the video well with synergy and enthusiasm. But it didn’t turn out the way the USC Trojans wanted it to be. Their lack of clarity in their intentions left everyone confused.
