Is Deion Sanders' reaction to the Saudi NIL rumors justified or over the top?

Hoopla is something that shadows Colorado Buffaloes HC Deion Sanders no matter where he goes. After snubbing a CBS reporter on stage, Coach Prime loses his cool again. On August 24, he addressed how fake news is plaguing their program. Going by the latest reports, an ex-Buffs coach had extended a helping hand to pull in funding for the Buffs NIL. And to everyone’s surprise, it was not limited to the continent instead went away cross-seas and landed in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, as Deion squashed the gossip, he whipped up a plan to boost the Buffs’ financial power.

As Deion claimed earlier he is often judged on a different scale. So far, only the Buffs HC had to bear the blow of this fault-finding fantasy of the public and media. But now it’s the Colorado program that is often dragged through the mud. And how could Deion just zip it and let the shade slide? He then took to the stage accompanying his players and faced the media. The way he allures the public with his humor always stands out. Coach Prime then unleashed a slick comeback with flair, “We are not immune to what we hear, see and read. We want to shut people up. We are sick of the foolishness and the lies. Im a little exhausted today because I just got off a plane from Saudi. How stupid is that.”

But what is the ruckus all about? It started with Trevor Riley, Colorado’s former special teams coordinator who resigned on August 1. While parting ways with the Buffs he had addressed a letter to Deion and Colorado AD Rick George. In the letter, the ex-coach spilled some beans on how he worked on helping CU’s 5430 NIL collective lobbying Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). A part of it read, “I even went to Saudi Arabia and got a meeting with the Saudis, who were interested in pursuing business. I have email receipts to prove it, and you guys let it fall flat on its face.”  While we are yet to learn about the authenticity of the news, here Coach Prime cooks up an interesting scheme.

Deion Sanders’ tweet sparks bank hunt

If you think that all Deion thinks about is the game, then you are mistaken. Yes, he is indeed hooked on the strategy to flip the 4-8 script, so much so, that he is now spending sleepless nights in the CU camp. But he is also spending a part of his time thinking of ways to boost the financial powers of his players.

At present, the Buffs is the home to players with some of the highest NIL valuations like Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, LaJohntay Wester as well as multiple others. As a means to boost their morale, Deion comes up with a master-blaster plan to give that extra edge to their financial standings.

On August 23, he tweeted, “I’m looking for a Bank in Boulder or Denver that’s wants to have a business relationship with a few members of our team. It’s gonna bless whichever Bank that partners with us. Let’s Go. #CoachPrime @CUBuffsFootball @SMAC.” If Deion Sanders pulls this off, no force in the universe could stop them from swimming in greenbacks.
