Are the Buffs risking Travis Hunter's future by focusing solely on his dual-role contributions?

No one can deny the fact that Travis Hunter is one of the key assets for the Colorado Buffs. Hunter is not only raising Buffs’ season stats with his two-way game ability but has also shown a remarkable grip on his performance. However, with recent events unfolding, the team is only considering the team and not his health. Shocking, right?

In a conversation with the DNVR Sports Buffs safety, Shilo Sanders mentioned how Coach Prime and his team were in danger after Travis Hunter’s injury. On 15th October, when asked by a reporter, “That you’ve seen Travis every day in practice, just for people who don’t see him, is he a more elite receiver or more elite cornerback?” To which Shilo gave a very weird reply, saying, “Yeah, when you lose Travis, you lose two players. So him going down, you know, that hurts also ’cause he’s not going to be at the corner or receiver when he goes down.”It looks like Shilo Sanders and the Buffs only see Travis Hunter as an asset as a two-way player and are not concerned much about his injury.

However, for now, the team’s main concern should be Travis Hunter’s recovery, not what he can do for the team. If he doesn’t get proper time for his recovery, it can surely jeopardize his career in the future. On the other hand, there are emerging reports suggesting that he will rejoin the Buffs and compete against Arizona next week.

Will Travis Hunter return to the field?

Well, it looks like the two-way star Travis Hunter’s injury can’t keep him on the sidelines for long. Buffs head coach Deion Sanders recently mentioned the possibility of Hunter’s return for their upcoming game against Arizona next week. “Travis should play for certain on Saturday,” said Coach Prime. Even though it’s good to know that Travis might return to the field, but is one week a sufficient time for his recovery? That’s still a question.

However, the Buffs’ last game against Kansas State was nothing but bad news for Travis Hunter. The two-way player not only lost his health but also faced a big drop in the Heisman Trophy odds. Before their showdown, Hunter was in the second position, but now he is standing in fifth with +1200 Heisman odds. Well, for now, the main concern is his reception, and if he returns for Colorado’s next game against Arizona, then there is a chance that he might regain his Heisman ranks.
