As the 2024 season enters its crucial weeks, fans are buzzing with excitement for their favorite teams while keeping an eye on the NFL draft. One of the biggest stories this offseason revolves around where Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders will end up. Shedeur has proven himself this season, but can he pull an Eli Manning? Meanwhile, Shilo, the oldest child of Deion Sanders and Pilar Sanders, has faced his fair share of backlash and criticism throughout the year.

Since Shedeur announced his intention to enter the NFL draft, he has found himself at the center of intense scrutiny and speculation. See, Shedeur has been one of the most beloved quarterbacks this season, and as he prepares to enter the NFL draft, many see him as a top pick. Initially, there was speculation about him potentially joining the New York Giants. However, after their Week 17 victory changed their draft position, his landing spot has become less certain.

Coach Prime is known for his bold statements; amidst all this chatter, his father took to social media and decided to address the noise directly. Deion didn’t hold back, calling out what he referred to as “idiots,” spreading misinformation about his family’s draft preferences.

He put across his message very clearly and tweeted, “It will be multiple IDIOTS that will say things that totally aren’t true regarding where I would like @ShedeurSanders & @ShiloSanders to play in the @nfl. If I say it I will say it directly to whom it may concern, not an attention seeker. I do know @nflcommish personally! 🎤drop.”

The Buffs HC was likely responding to a tweet that claimed the Buffs QB has no interest in playing for the Cleveland Browns or Tennessee Titans. This tweet also claimed that Deion Sanders “will demand his son goes to a big market team with good infrastructure for a young QB.” Well, Deion has repeatedly stressed that he has no control over his sons’ NFL future. And amidst all, how can Bucky not stand up for his brothers?

Deion Sanders Jr. took no time to join the conversation by responding to a tweet that claimed Shedeur had no interest in playing for teams like the Browns or Titans. He simply replied with “🧢,” which is slang for “cap,” indicating he disagreed with that statement.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Shilo Sanders unfairly criticized, or does he need to prove himself more on the field?

Have an interesting take?

While Shedeur is soaking up the spotlight, his brother Shilo is caught in a different kind of crossfire. Fans express their opinions on Shedeur’s potential in the NFL, predicting he’ll be a first-round pick. But things might not be as rosy for his brother Shilo. Experts are projecting him as a late fourth or fifth-round pick. Some of them have taken jabs at him, questioning his capabilities in professional football.

Skepticism for Shilo Sander’s NFL future

Well, the entire world of college football knows that the Buffaloes struggled in 2023. But Deion Sanders and his team came back stronger, making 2024 one of the best seasons for the Colorado Buffaloes. They finished with a record that exceeded expectations, marking the end of college football careers for stars Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders, and Shilo Sanders. December 29 was a tough day for all of them, including Coach Prime, as three of them played their last game for the Buffs. Shedeur and Travis have been making headlines every single week with their impressive performances, but Shilo had a rough year.

Fans have had mixed reactions to Shilo’s NFL prospects.“Shilo might be a water boy in the NFL, yes.” Ouch! It’s been a tough season for Shilo, especially since he spent much of it sidelined due to injury. When he finally got the chance to play, things didn’t go as well as he’d hoped.

Another fan, who happens to be an Ohio State alum, humorously took a dig and stated, “Shilo can play for me any day! (I coach a flag football team for adults).”Another fan joined in with a cheeky comment, saying, “Shilo is going to the NFL?? 🤣 2 for 1 deal is the only way.” While the Sanders family received love the entire season, many simply do not like them. Since Shedeur and Shilo started playing, they have been criticized with nepotism tags.

See, Shilo was not at his best this season, but does he really deserve all the hate? Despite the criticism and the ups and downs, Shilo managed to perform well in some games. The safety recorded 25 tackles in eight games, including 18 solo tackles. But still, the skepticism didn’t stop there; one critic bluntly stated, “Shilo isn’t going to the league 😂.” Ahh, that is mean!

Shilo Sanders broke his forearm during the Week 2 game against Nebraska. He bravely returned for a must-win game against Kansas State, but unfortunately, they lost 31-28. It took him a while to get back into his groove after the injury. He didn’t make a huge impact early on, but he finished the season strong with a double-digit tackle performance against Utah.

But the hate continues as another fan harshly claimed, “Shilo is more likely to go to prison than play in the NFL.” Well, 2024 was a rough year for the Buffs safety. He dealt with injuries on the field and off the field, facing a long legal battle and filing for bankruptcy.

Although 2024 wasn’t his year, he had a bounce-back performance against Arizona, leading the Buffs to a 34-7 victory. He capped off his season by participating in the Valero Alamo Bowl, where he aimed to leave a lasting impression. Can Shilo Sanders turn things around and prove himself in the NFL?
