Sherrone Moore has got Ann Arbor buzzing! He’s hungry, and he’s not shy about it. “The pursuit of greatness…and that will take you to the standard, and once we continue to win on and off the field, we’ll become the standard,” he says, and he’s backing those words up big time on the recruiting trail. Fresh off landing 5-star offensive lineman Ty Haywood, beating out Alabama no less, the Wolverines are showing they’re quite a force in the recruiting scene. And just when you thought the buzz couldn’t get louder, a photo pops up of Haywood alongside another elite O-lineman, sending Wolverine fans into a frenzy.

“I’m really happy I ran into him [Haywood]. We both see a lot of the same things in Michigan.” Those words? They’re basically a commitment in disguise. And now, Michigan’s getting another major recruiting update, this time from that other elite O-lineman.

Enter Zaden Krempin, the 2026 OT from Prosper, Texas, a rising star with a 6-5, 270-pound frame. He’s got everyone talking after dropping an update on X with the caption, “📍🛩️〽️ @Umichfootball.” Translation? He just took an unofficial visit to Michigan. And that’s not even the main event; he’s got an official visit lined up for June 20. LSU, SMU, and Texas are all in the mix, but Sherrone Moore isn’t backing down. Michigan’s throwing punches, and they’re landing.

Krempin’s visit spoke volumes, but his words? They shouted it from the rooftops. “The coaches, traditions, and culture at Michigan is what fires me up the most,” he stated. If that doesn’t get you hyped, remember the beach photo? Krempin and Haywood, four ‘M’ emojis, and “#GoBlue.” That’s not just a casual post; that’s a declaration. Michigan could be on the verge of another massive win in the trenches. And if Krempin’s words and social media hints are anything to go by, Sherrone Moore’s cooking up something special.

As a top-100 prospect in the 2026 class, Krempin has already pulled in 47 offers from powerhouse programs like Texas A&M, LSU, Texas, SMU, and FSU. But his dominance isn’t just on the football field. In track and field, he’s launched throws of 50 feet 4.25 inches in shot put and 152 feet 6 inches in discus—pure strength and power on display. According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 10 interior OL nationally and the No. 25 overall prospect in Texas. Right now, his size, athleticism, and raw talent make him one of the most sought-after linemen in his class. And while the hype is real, Krempin is just getting started.

Although Michigan made a strong impression, the race isn’t over. Because Krempin is set for official visits to LSU on May 31 and SMU on June 7. But here’s the twist—LSU isn’t new to him. He already took an unofficial visit in March, where LSU’s monstrous 319-pound power move stole the show. To be honest, while the battle for Krempin is heating up, the Wolverines aren’t the only ones in the fight.

LSU’s 319 pounds of influence on Zaden Krempin

Zaden Krempin has been on a whirlwind tour this spring, visiting top programs and locking in his summer stops. You know, LSU may have secured one of his 4 final visits, but making a lasting impression won’t be easy. Because Texas and SMU are fighting to keep elite talent in-state, and meanwhile Michigan has surged as Krempin’s top out-of-state contender. Furthermore, despite already visiting LSU 3 times, the Tigers aren’t done yet. And this time they’ve got a secret weapon—one that could shake up Krempin’s entire recruitment.

Thanks to Will Campbell, the 319-pound anchor for the Tigers, Krempin’s weekend visit to LSU made an impression. Krempin and his family were given an exclusive inside peek at LSU football as the top offensive tackle performed his job flawlessly. And Krempin made it clear just how much it meant, saying, “Thank you @will_campbell66 for taking the time to talk to me and my family all about.” But the impact didn’t stop there.

OL Coach Brad Davis also made a strong impression, and Krempin praised his work“What he was able to do with Will Campbell, Emory Jones, and the rest of their line the past few years was awesome. He’s very much a straight shooter and I know would coach me hard. I know he could help me achieve my goals.”

As of now, LSU is making a serious push, and this visit may have just turned up the heat. But landing Krempin won’t be an easy task. He plans to make his decision after his official visits, giving each program one last chance to make a lasting impression.
