Finishing on a strong note was huge for us and will build great momentum going into the offseason… We feel like we’ve got a bright future with the way we’re recruiting, the guys we’re bringing in, the guys we’re keeping, to make sure that this Michigan is the best version of Michigan that it can be”. These were the words of Sherrone Moore, as the Wolverines wrapped up their 2024 season at 8-5, with hopes of entering the playoffs in 2025. Are they ready?

Well, Moore has landed some of the biggest prospects like QB Bryce Underwood and OT Andrew Babalola for Michigan, cranking up the rank of his 2025 class to 6th, nationally. But let’s not forget how important schedules are for a team’s dreams to come true and this time, luck is favoring Michigan. Former Penn State tight end Adam Brenman took to Instagram to share: “The easiest schedule in college football next year is Michigan. They get Ohio State at home, but they will probably beat them no matter where they play. They also avoid Oregon and Penn State. When Nebraska is your toughest conference road game, you have got to be feeling pretty good “. But, will it affect their chances in any way?

Well, yes and no. They do have quite an easy schedule where their toughest game is Nebraska in week 4. But, they might be able to bypass the ranking system entirely if they are able to win their conference championship, but that doesn’t seem to be a difficult feat for Moore. Furthermore, it is also a fact that the teams last year that had the toughest games – Florida, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Georgia, and South Carolina – were from the SEC and none of them could survive the playoffs. The lucky stars have aligned for Sherrone Moore and the hype is only getting real. So is the Michigan HC now getting battle-ready?

How was Sherrone Moore’s recruiting game for the 2025 class?

Moore is busy strengthening his army for the upcoming season – and it’s evident by the decisions that he took in the offseason. He has signed Justice Haynes (RB) from Alabama who will provide a sure boost to a game that is already rushing-heavy. Snagging Safety TJ Metcalf from Arkansas was another quick move. D-line essentials – Ty Haywood and Avery Gach would also be big walls to surmount for Michigan’s opponent’s offense. Furthermore, the edge-rushing combination of Derrick Moore, and TJ Guy, who didn’t opt for the NFL draft will serve as a promising duo in the 2025 season.  The verdict?

Well, all seems good till now for Moore. But, still, he has to work on his QB problem if he wants to make a winning team. Bryce Underwood may help just in improving the passing game, which was one of the worst in the FBS in 2024. Moore has been reinforcing his defense to save Underwood, but, even then they would have to avoid any slip-ups in the whole season if they want to realize their playoffs dream.
