Tough times roll in Ann Arbor! Well, the debut season of Sherrone Moore with the Michigan Wolverines turned out to be a big FLOP! The program that has been the defending champions in 2023 couldn’t even make it to the playoffs this time. But looks like Moore’s program still has some strong pillars who continue to pour in their support now. At least something they are still winning this season!
For instance, this Michigan insider keeps on glorifying the debut HC now that a potential transfer is looming around the corner. Well, perhaps is not the best timing is it? While a failed season looms over your head, you do want to prepare for the next one and make it better! A person who should perhaps keep quiet in this is this loyal fan who’s efforts to put Moore on the pedestal backfired as fans trolled the new HC.

This season, the Wolverines fans did not get the after-taste of the national championship. What they got instead is the taste of mediocrity. Moore’s boys are now in such a questionable state that even having the advantage of home turf, they lost against Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks 381-7. However, Moore seemed to be not quite interested in the playoffs and now shifted his focus to the recruiting drive. On that note, Michigan insider Aidan Sen came up with an update, as he tweeted, “A source close to the situation tells me that USC DL transfer Bear Alexander and his camp have a strong interest in Michigan.” But what made Bear Alexander count on Moore’s program?

Sen wrote, “Consistent defensive production and the upside of Sherrone Moore as a coach are important factors in Alexander’s recruitment.” The USC Trojans defensive tackle is all set to redshirt for the rest of 2024 after he had somewhat of a laid-back performance on USC’s defense during their first three games. So, that makes Alexander a perfect fit for the Wolverines who are surely not great. That’s where the insider’s tweet backfired as he tried his best to glorify Moore, which left CFB fans to have a good laugh.

Yes, there are a lot of things on Moore’s plate. To fill the big shoes of someone like Jim Harbaugh is a big pressure in itself. Plus he now has to clear up the mess of the havoc that Harbaugh created by not landing any good QB this season. But that does not allow CFB fans to mercy him. Instead, they swapped into a full attack mode counter-questioning the insider what is the positive in Moore’s coaching now that he has claimed so, “What is the upside in having Sherrone Moore as a coach? Honest question.”
Standing at Week 12, the Wolverines have already lost five games which makes the fans least interested about what Michigan is up to as one of them came with a harsh comment, “We do not care.” Do you know that they lost only three times in total in the past three years? And with Moore as the HC they witnessed five defeats in one go that made a frustrated fan comment, “What’s that Moore upside? Seriously asking.”

The debut HC has left the program in a tough spot where they did the bare minimum to be able to achieve a mere 50%, “lol Moore is 5-5 💀.” The list of the problems in the Ann Arbor hood goes on such as shoddy clock management, and confounding play calls, and the HC still landed praise from the insider. So a fan couldn’t resist himself from sharing a laugh, “The “upside of Sherrone Moore” is what got me. Elite joke man hilarious 😂.” God knows when Sherrone Moore can get back his lost pride!
