Can Shelomi Sanders ever have a 'normal' life with Coach Prime as her dad?

Shelomi Sanders, Deion Sander’s daughter, transferred out of Colorado to join Alabama A&M, against her dad’s wishes. In fact, in classic Deion fashion, he noted the decision to be “stupid”. Now, we all know that transferring out of any uni is difficult, let alone when your dad works there. Safe to say, Shelomi didn’t enjoy being in the limelight and watching everything unfold back then. 

Now, it seems like Shelomi wants to make her own name, and why shouldn’t she? A new live interview with DETAIL Training reveals that the spotlight of Coach Prime leaves her daughter stupefied but she still finds a way to stay humble even in all the chaos.

On August 19, 2024, Shelomi Sanders and Amiah Simmons went LIVE with DETAIL Training. There, the host asked Shelomi what is normal for her, growing up in the Sanders household, but the reply could leave you shocked as she mentioned, “I don’t know how to answer that I will just be chilling, I’m humble, I’m just I’ll be cool.” All in all, she wants everyone to know that she isn’t “Hollywood” like a lot of people might assume. Looks like growing up in the limelight didn’t stop her from being grounded. Along with that, when the question was asked regarding the meaning of her jersey no., she said “I’m vibing with then I was like okay 22 is cool “. So, you can imagine how light-minded a player she is and how dedicated to her passion for basketball.

She is a remarkable performer as per her current track record because, as a freshman; she played 2.4 minutes per game. Currently, she is focusing on her basketball career with Alabama A&M. Stepping away from being in her dad’s shadow, Shelomi is quite enjoying her time with her mom. 

Shelomi and Pillar remain the unstoppable duo

When asked about the food at Alabama, she simply replied “First of all, mom has been cooking, so food has been good”. She goes on to add that she loves home-cooked meals and is eating good. After all, who can forget that Pillar was the one who supported Shelomi through her transfer when Deion publically dissed her?

Pillar showed her love for Shelomi and her decision on Instagram back when she broke the news saying, “Yeeaaasssss! Keep backing them down, baby!” And now it seems like she’s fitting right in at Alabama, even her mentor Ebi Ere is content with her progress. For now, we just have to wait and see till the season rolls around and hope for the best!
