Things are getting really hot. Why wouldn’t it be? After all, it’s none other than the Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders. Not just one, but he has multiple suitors swarming around him. Ever since Shedeur has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he has been the hot target. At first, rumors went around that the Dallas Cowboys were trying to land the father-son duo. Then things shifted to the Cleveland Browns in the Shedeur race.
And what about now? The focus is now on the $6.9 billion NFL giant. As expected, this new pursuer too is expected to make a big move. They are willing to place Shedeur in their $113M QB’s seat.

A new contender in the Shedeur Sanders’ race
Well, ‘the Shedeur Sanders plot’ is thickening with every passing day. At first, there were rumors that Dallas GM Jerry Jones was too desperate to land Deion. In that case, he was willing to take care of Coach Prime’s one and only condition: “The only way I would consider it is to coach my sons.” But the Cowboys just snagged a new HC, Brian Schottenheimer, and they’re already locked into a long-term, lucrative deal with QB Dak Prescott. That makes a Shedeur-Cowboys union look pretty shaky. Then the Tennessee Titans entered the chat, considering the QB with their No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, it looks like one particular NFL team is reportedly trying their level best to hit the target with Shedeur.

That’s none other than the New York Jets. On February 10, NFL Rookie Watch posted some interesting updates and wrote, “The Jets are reportedly “100%” in the QB market for the 2025 NFL Draft.” Well, Deion’s son would face tough competition with Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart as the Jets’ owner, Woody Johnson “loves” all three QBs. But here Shedeur is one lucky man, as Johnson holds a “special interest” in the Buffs QB.
Looks like New York is going to make their Shedeur dream come true. And what’s the best path to take? “There is thought around the league that Johnson will ‘attempt to move up’ in an effort to secure Sanders,” reported NFL Rookie Watch. And guess what? They have already found a trading partner.
That’s none other than the Titans, who are reportedly “open to trade” with the first overall pick. The Jets’ desperation looks real as they have decided to part ways with their 41-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers after two failed seasons under center in New York. However, per the reports, the decision was more about his three-year $113 million contract and the remaining dead money, which is $49 million. But looks like the Jets are not at the top of their preference list. The reason? Their quarterback development troubles. Now what does the latest mock draft say about Shedeur Sanders’ NFL future?
What’s your perspective on:
Will Shedeur Sanders be the savior the Jets desperately need, or just another QB experiment?

Shedeur’s social media activities under the radar
Nick Baumgardner from The Athletic came up with the most recent mock draft. While he believes that Ward will eventually outpace Shedeur, the Buffs QB is going to have a better rookie season as he is reminiscent of a more athletic version of Bo Nix. As the analyst noted, “A mobile pocket battler with terrific accuracy and toughness, Sanders always will need more help from the roster around him than your average top-10 QB — but he can be a terrific point guard for a long time.”
As per his latest mock draft, Shedeur will be falling down to No.6 to the Las Vegas Raiders. Like the Jets, the Raiders could even consider trading up for Sanders, so landing him at No. 6 would be good news for them. While the rumors start to do the rounds, the Buffs QB’s social media activities are under critical radar.

Will this team get approval from Deion? Looks like the three factors would be hard for Coach Prime to resist. Number one is Tom Brady as the part owner. Second, Pete Carroll is a wizard when it comes to creatively building around undersized quarterbacks. Number 3, their offensive coordinator, Chip Kelly, is already in Deion’s good books. Let’s see what the future has in store for Shedeur.
