Shedeur Sanders or Dylan Raiola—who's the real future star of college football?

The dawn of a new era has begun for the Colorado Buffaloes. Last year ended horribly for the team when they made it to the bottom of the leaderboard with a 4-8 record. After months and months of transfers both in and out of the program, the fans were eager to see how the newly constructed squad would perform. And, ever since the Buffs’ victory against the Bisons, it’s safe to say that everyone’s overjoyed to see the team getting off to a good start.

Their next opponent is Colorado’s historic rivals, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The two giants will lock horns in the Memorial Stadium Lincoln on 8th September and hopefully, Shedeur Sanders can lead the way to a flawless victory yet again. The hype regarding the game continues to grow every day with some speculating about the war of the quarterbacks between Shedeur and Dylan Raiola of the Cornhuskers. In light of this, Deion Sanders Jr jumped in with his opinion about how the QB versus QB situation isn’t significant as compared to the overall team’s success.

On the 2nd September episode of the Zero 2 Sixty with Matt McChesney show, Bucky came on as a guest to talk about the Colorado Buffaloes and their preparations ahead of the Nebraska game. The founder of Well Off Media went on to share his excitement for the match as well as brush off any narratives where it becomes more about Shedeur versus Dylan rather than the glory of either team.

Deion Sanders Jr. went on to highlight the defensive adjustments that the team made in their season-opener and how it “was a beautiful thing.” He said, “Yeah, no. I definitely don’t think it’s a QB versus QB battle. We just got to do what we’re good at. We did pretty good stopping a run, and we did pretty good with those adjustments and the second half, which is the thing we didn’t do at all last year. It was barely any adjustments. Even if adjustments were requested, it never really happened. So, it was a beautiful thing actually seeing that happen.”

Thus, the Buffs seem a lot more confident and fresher in their capabilities than last season and the fans will desperately hope that the winning streak continues further. With that being said, here’s what Deion Sanders Jr. had to say about Shedeur’s character with respect to playing away games.

“Turn a non-believer into a believer”, says Sanders Jr ahead of their Nebraska game

There’s something magical about the 50,183 people at Folsom Stadium cheering on the spirit of the Colorado Buffaloes, but when it comes to the Sanders men, they prefer it if they’re in enemy front lines. The upcoming game on 8th September will see the Buffaloes stepping foot into the home ground of the Cornhuskers, their iconic arch-nemesis. While it might rattle some teams, the Buffaloes are the exceptions since they’re planning to charge right through their doors with the horns, as per Buck.

Per Deion Sanders Jr., Shedeur and the team lead with the policy of “turn a non-beliver into a believer” when they play away games. He further added, “Some people prefer away games better than home games because it’s like they thrive inside of a storm. Some people thrive inside of that type of environment. Like that’s what I love. I love that type of stuff so that’s the type of person Shedeur is. We have a lot of kids on the team like that.”

Along with the team and Shedeur, let’s not forget, Coach Prime is the pioneer when it comes to facing rival teams and negativity on the gridiron but that’s what the CU program is all about and they’ll try to use it to their advantage.
