The countdown to Super Bowl LIX is on, and the buzz is electric. Fans, players, and analysts are already making their picks for the epic showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs on Feb 9. Predictions are flying, debates are heating up, and everyone has an opinion. And for Shedeur Sanders, a top 2025 NFL Draft prospect and ex-Buffalo, the choice was easy. No hesitation. No second-guessing. He knows exactly who he’s rooting for in this historic matchup.

I got the Eagles,” Shedeur Sanders declared on his podcast 2Legendary. He added, “I want Jalen Hurts to win. He has a good story.” It’s clear where his loyalty lies. But what about the Chiefs’ star QB Patrick Mahomes? Shedeur didn’t hesitate. “I like him. I like Patrick for sure,” he admitted. “But I just… I don’t know. I just want the Eagles to win.” No shade, just preference. The respect is there, but Shedeur is riding with Philly all the way.

The Eagles are out for revenge after their heartbreaking 38-35 loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, where a last-second field goal by Harrison Butker sealed their fate. But this time, things are different. With Saquon Barkley now in the mix, Shedeur believes the Eagles have what it takes to claim the victory and make history.

Shedeur said, “ They have Saquon Barkley… I think they’ll be able to establish the run and get a lot of play action passes.” However, on the flip side, Patrick Mahomes is eyeing his fourth Super Bowl win in just eight years. And the 2Legendary podcast co-host, Darrius Sanders, confidently backed him up. Darrius said, “You know Patrick Mahomes, and them boys been running it up. It’s almost a dynasty over there. You think the Eagles can overcome that?

Shedeur was direct and said, “I think most important thing in football is being able to run the ba-l.” However, Shedeur’s father was thrilled to see the Chiefs punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. And when it came to Patrick Mahomes, Deion had nothing but praise. “Man, I’m happy for him. That’s a special player doing special things,” said Coach Prime.

But Shedeur, ever the realist, supported the Eagles! He added, “I think they’re able to run the football establish the run and you know get a lot of play action passes because it’s so focused on the run and Jalen Hurts  is going to do what he got to do to win.” But the QB didn’t stop there. He continued, “I think. Now y’all don’t be doing some illegal stuff because of what I think. This is just my thoughts.” Meanwhile, Darius Sanders was quick to clarify that Shedeur is no “be-ting advisor.” However, right now, the Chiefs are favored by -1.5 points on the spread.
