Why do you think Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter got booed so heavily? Fair or foul?

Sometimes, the ghost of your past keeps coming back. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter showed us a lot last year when they hit the field. Hunter made his name in the opener with 11 catches and a solid run. Shedeur, on the other hand, went on to grab more than 20+ TDs and had a completion rate of around 72%. This is no joke because, as ESPN’s Jordan Reid had noted, Shedeur Sanders had the 13th-highest completion rate in the entire season. However, what came back to haunt them after the season was over was Shedeur giving 50+ sacks and Hunter being exhausted in every single match.

And today on August 31st on The Pat McAfee Show, Pat McAfee finds himself stumped as the crowd marks Shedeur and Hunter as “overrated” yet again, despite their amazing display against NDSU. “Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are going to be a problem for everybody,” McAfee had noted while talking about how both kids performed on August 30th. However, the crowd soon followed with a chant, calling both players overrated. “I don’t know what’s being chanted on the internet at a very massive clip,” McAfee remarked. During the match against NDSU, Shedeur and Travis both proved that Deion’s investment in the team had paid off. Shedeur managed to lock in around 445 yards thrown and Hunter had 2 TDs during the match. Both kids showed amazing collaboration as well when Hunter managed to catch a 13-yard TD from Sanders during the 3rd quarter of the match.

It’s the same thing as Aaron Torres had noted back on his show. “I don’t think Colorado is nearly as bad as people think they are,” Torres had noted. Last year, the jabs against Shedeur were still understandable as he had little to no defense. However, most of it was because of Deion’s lackluster lineup on the O-line. This time around, during the match with Bisons,  even saw Shedeur managing well enough inside the pockets. This was another one of the major issues which plagued him last year. Bringing on Pat Shurmur definitely has helped the boys learn how to survive between defenders. While the game did show us the improvement the 2-star players have had over the last few months, it also exposed some fatal flaws in the team.

Will Deion Sanders’ revamped team survive against the Cornhuskers?

On September 8th, the Buffs go up against the Cornhuskers. But before that happens, Deion has some time to make some rotations or changes to his team. The match against the Bisons exposed the flaws that the Buffs have. The major issues are the lack of proper red zone offense and the ability to stop rushes. Almost every rush by QB Cam Miller could’ve been avoided if the team had a proper presence.

That fatal error caused the Buffs to have a lackluster 2nd and 3rd quarter. While Deion had managed to secure a massive win against Nebraska last year at 36-14, Coach Prime still cannot go easy. NDSU managed to put Deion’s O-line to the test. While the boys did succeed, they need to get their heads together before hitting the field on Sunday.
