Shedeur Sanders had to make the most out of September 21’s game against the Baylor Bears. While he had already been thrown under the bus for his selfish act that cost the Buffs hard, the Colorado Buffaloes QB did make up for the loss. He gifted the fans with a Hail Mary pass as the game drew almost towards the end.
Among the fans, Buffs’ big enthusiast Robert Griffin III had to take to X and came up with a huge shoutout for his best pal’s son. While the NFL star is all into the game, his wife has been busy making fun of Deion. That’s the bond the couple shares with Coach Prime.

Deion never shies away from showcasing his love for Griffin III openly. And Saturday has been extra special for their bond. After all, the Buffs faced the Bears with whom Griffin III had a successful stint which Deion described as “poetry in motion” and praised the legend’s impact, “I’ve got nothing but love for RG3.” Even though Griffin III was there to root for his alma mater, he ended up praising the Buffs QB. The ex-Ravens described the magic created by Shedeur on the field, “Then SHEDEUR SANDERS TURNS AROUND, FINDS THE WIFI CONNECTION AND AIR DROPS A DIME FOR A TOUCHDOWN ON A HAIL MARY.”

Yes, Griffin III is right, at least Shedeur made his last-minute spectacle look so. On Saturday evening, the Buffs QB forced overtime which came up with a 43-yard Hail Mary pass to LaJohntay Wester while Travis Huter forced a fumble at the 1-yard line. But what touched Griffin III is the fact that how Shedeur made it look like a cakewalk, as simple as dropping files through AirDrop.
Just when the Buffs had given up on hope when they were trailing by a touchdown, Shedeur made a play that the Buffs fans will forever remember. The clock struck 0:00 and the Buffs QB rolled to his left and let the football fly. WR LaJohntay Wester waited patiently at the end zone and caught hold of the ball and what a miracle!
Colorado kicked the extra point putting back the smile on the Buffs’ fans’ face with a gigantic 38-31 win. The pass was enough for Shedeur to regain his belief in himself as right after the game ended, he shared three words on his Instagram story, “Thank you GOD.” Meanwhile, the NFL legend can finally let out a sigh of relief.
Deion Sanders’ hilarious prediction about Robert Griffin III
September 21 Colorado vs. Baylor’s match was something that left everybody on their toes. So much was the excitement. Quite naturally, for Griffin III it was extra special. On one end there was his team that played an important role in his college football career and on the other end was his absolute favorite Deion Sanders’ Buffs. So Sports Illustrated reporter Taylor Sadusky wanted to take the fun to a whole new level.
She ended up asking Coach Prime whether he and Griffin III discussed Saturday’s game before it kicked off. To which Deion replied, “I am sure he is going to be conflicted inside.” The Buffs HC then dropped a prophecy, “He’s going to be wearing green with a gold necklace on.” The green color honors Griffin III’s alma mater, Baylors, and the gold chain to support the Buffs as it stands as the iconic symbol in Deion’s style.

And guess what? The Buffs HC was right. It was Robert Griffin III’s wife, Grete Griffin who shared a picture of the NFL legend exactly the same way Deion Sanders predicted. The caption read, “Coach wasn’t lying @RGIII @DeionSanders.” Let’s wait for a comeback from the legendary QB.
