You reap what you sow. The season opener game against NDSU was the first reality check. If Deion Sanders wanted his team to succeed, he would have followed and fixed what his team did wrong against the Bisons. We have come a long way, and we have seen QB Shedeur Sanders improve in every aspect. This guy was marked as the most sacked QB last year and this time around we saw how fluid he was while inside the pockets. The O-line was always the problem and despite Deion Sanders revamping the offense live, the Huskers sacked Shedeur 5 times.

So, it didn’t come as a surprise when Nebraska players got all together and played Shedeur’s song after wiping the floor with the Buffs. “After Nebraska’s dominant win over CU, the players celebrated with Shedeur Sanders’ song “Perfect Timing”, Blackshirts posted on X along with a video of the Huskers dancing in the locker room. The Buffs lost 28-10 to the Huskers. The first half of the game was tragic. Shedeur did not get a single chance to make a play and whenever he did have a slight window, he was sacked by the Cornhuskers O-line. Despite watching that the O-line of the Buffs was struggling, Deion Sanders still went on to let his players play with an open offensive line.

It was in the second half when the defenses finally did some work. One field goal from Alejandro Mata and one TD from LaJohntay Wester was all the Buffs could manage in the second half. Travis Hunter was fuming because of the entire scene on the field. Heck, things were so bad that even Deion Sanders Jr. did not shy away from mentioning how embarrassing the entire loss to Nebraska was on his YouTube channel. However, this ain’t all. It looks like Deion is going to have a rough season because he just lost his safety.

Shilo Sanders is probably out

A tackle from Dante Dowdell during his 13-yard touchdown run is probably going to cost Shilo Sanders his entire 2024 season. We got to know that Shilo now has an injured forearm. Chances are that it is broken and if that is the case, then he would probably have to sit out the rest of the season.

This makes matters so much worse for Coach Prime. The defense was already lacking, and losing Shilo was a big blow to the roster and the team’s overall morale. At this point, we don’t even know if they have what it takes to win against the Rams on September 15th. The 2023 season is coming back to haunt Coach Prime, but it’s 10 times worse this year.
