Now when all the spotlight is on you, you have the power to run the show. That’s how things are falling into place for the Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders. The craze for the QB to leave his father Deion Sanders’ nest and fly to the NFL has been real. However, his draft stocks did witness some nosedive over the past couple of days. Meanwhile, Shedeur did turn heads at the NFL Scouting Combine while trying to pull up some sly tactics. Maybe he points his finger at one way, while deep in his heart he plans to go oppositely. Now that he talks so passionately about the GOAT Tom Brady, can we expect a Las Vegas Raiders x Shedeur collab?

Well, the 23-year-old never runs out of confidence. He has always seen himself as the No.1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. But eventually got blown away by some sharp reality check. For instance, ESPN’s Field Yates sees him as the No.6 pick while Tom Fornelli projects the Buffs QB as the No.22 overall pick. Now, with every passing day, Shedeur’s draft stocks are hitting further lower notes. While he is gradually falling off the track in the NFL Draft race, he is further intensifying the plot by playing it slyly. Shedeur’s level of effort during his team interviews now turns out to be the biggest storyline.

On February 28, NFL on CBS posted a clip of what CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones thinks of the Buffs QB. The caption hinted at something intriguing as the page only dropped an 👀 emoji. The note on the video reads, “Shedeur Sanders appears not ‘giving it his all’ in interviews with teams he does not want to go to.” That’s how the QB is playing smart by not wasting his energy and time unnecessarily. Now that again leaves him in the bad light when his competitor, Miami’s Cam Ward, is giving it his all in the interviews.

As Jones stated, “Cam Ward, I can say confidently from teams that I have spoken to, has been interviewing better than Shedeur Sanders.” He continued as it exposed Shedeur’s clever play, “I talked with one team who agreed with that, but said ‘Look, Shedeur is not really… it does not appear that he’s giving it his all with teams that he doesn’t want to go to.'”

At the NFL Combine, he has been very straightforward about himself and what he wants. “If that’s not what you’re trying to do, don’t get me. If you ain’t trynna change the franchise or the culture, don’t get me.” In that case, is the Silver and Black jersey waiting for him as he could not stop gushing over Brady

Tom Brady’s influence runs deep in Shedeur Sanders

In the Lucas Oil Stadium, all the cameras were on Shedeur. The young chap walks and talks confidently. He stated that he does not need to be picked first overall to find success in the pro league. Now who has been his inspiration behind such a towering conference? It’s none other than the NFL phenom, Tom Brady. Shedeur reminded how the 7-time Super Bowl champion stands as the best example of a QB who was not drafted first overall. Forget first, Brady was not selected until the sixth round. And guess what? Shedeur has always been the GOAT’s favorite.

What’s your perspective on:

Could Shedeur Sanders' admiration for Tom Brady lead to a Raiders partnership, or is it wishful thinking?

Have an interesting take?

He recalled Brady telling him to come over to Tampa Bay. As he flew there with his dad Deion, Brady gave them a ride. “He took me in his truck in to this high school field.  From then on, he was just telling me knowledge and I filmed everything, recorded everything, so now sometimes I go back and listen to the things that he said at the time and it registers…that’s why I’m thankful for him.” Now is this a clear hint?

Brady, who is the minority owner of the Raiders, holds a special spot in Shedeur’s heart. While they are a quarterback-needy team, they hold the No.6 pick in the draft. But we all know how the Buffs QB reacted to Field Yates’ No.6 projections, right? He sharply retorted, “That’s crap bruh. I ain’t going sixth.” Well, are the Raiders ready to roll the dice and trade up — all for Shedeur Sanders?
