Travis Hunter’s got a comeback for everything! Last week, the rivalry between the Colorado Buffs and the Colorado State Rams got a little too heated. The Rams’ quarterback, Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, went way too far when he made fun of Travis Hunter, calling him ‘too small’ with his disrespectful hand gesture.

Even though the Buffs won the game, it was a disappointing experience for them. And the unnecessary trolling and derogatory comments were the only low points in the rivalry matchup.

Today, addressing the whole incident, Colorado Buffs star QB Shedeur Sanders in his podcast 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders took a jab at Nicolosi, saying, “Colorado State quarterback hit the two small pose on Travis. It was no purpose to doing that, but you know God teaches everybody lessons. Just even trolling or doing anything crazy, so he did that, Travis got a pick on him and Travis went 400. It was like, ‘What? How he too small?’”  Well, Travis disproved the two small shots by intercepting a pass from Fowler during the third quarter. Well, his gameplay speaks more than words.

Travis Hunter emerged as a star performer after his exceptional gameplay against the Colorado State Rams. During the matchup, Travis achieved a career-high record with 13 catches running for 100 yards with two touchdowns. In addition, he recorded five tackles and secured an interception on defense.

Well, if you think this is it, then you are wrong, as Travis Hunter’s incredible showing in the Colorado Buffaloes win against the Colorado State Rams has led to him being named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. This is more than enough to shut down Brayden Fowler’s necessary comments by questioning his abilities. However, this isn’t the first time the Rams have tried taking unnecessary jabs at the Buffs. The act of badmouthing began long before the game even started

The Rams started criticizing the Buffs way before their matchup. On September 12th, during an interview, CSU’s wide receiver Tory Horton and quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi made a disrespectful comment on the Buffs, stating, “We should have murdered them guys; we’re coming for revenge.” Well, it looked like Brayden and Tory had some issues with remembering facts. Leaving this year’s game, they even suffered a loss of 43-35 against the Colorado Buffs last season. After years of struggling, it’s high time they focus on turning things around.

Even Coach Prime addressed the whole incident, saying, “How stupid is that? This is Travis Hunter.” The red-shirt sophomore made a bold move by talking trash about the Buffs, which now appears worse after their embarrassing loss. After the match-up, two-way star Travis Hunter has become one of the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy. Sure, Travis Hunter’s performance speaks for itself. Let’s see how he performs in their upcoming match against the Baylor Bears.
